Default Is it true that certain BMW rims will fit our cars?

I thought I saw a set on an SS but I dont remember if they fit with any issues or not. I would really like to see a set of M5 rims an an fbody before I have to buy 2 Boyd wheels to replace my bent ones.

I've always heard the same, though I have yet to try it.

Yep, ones with the 5x120mm bolt pattern and the proper backspacing. Several wheels out there with the 5x120mm lug pattern can be ordered with custom backspacing.

Our lug pattern is 5x4.75", and 4.75" = 120.65mm

0.65 of a mm isn't much

My 18" Racing Harts that were on the Formula were for BMWs.

This is just the post i was going to put up also

Would this fit on our car

19x10 with the 5x120mm bolt holes, and a +20 backspacing
19x9 with the 5x120mm bolt holes, and a +30 backspacing

.65 isnt that much...but if you happen to have an issue (your wheel falls off) its on you. As little as a business card between the hub and mounting surface of the wheel can cause enough problem to shake the wheel loose eventually. Will it happen? Who knows. I wouldnt want to find out though.

Conical lug seats help center the wheel anyways, plus 0.65 is divided by the entire bolt circle of 120 mm. That means at most, the lug to stud axis would only be 0.325 mm off. 0.325 mm is only 0.27% of 120mm (less than 1%), probably within drilling tolerances.

I was gonna say, that's like 1-2 hundredths of an inch, I'm fairly certain even my stock wheels have a bigger disparity than that.

Yeap they do fit. I am running a set of Milla Miglia 18' that I pick up from an M5 that wrapped itself around a post. Offset is not perfect but it depends on ur taste. For 50 bucks a piece from a J yard, I couldn't pass it up.

What is the proper backspacing for front and rear? Also, what does the offset tell us?

my 19s are 9.5" wide and have a 38mm offset. They fit perfectly in my opinion (nothing sticks out past the fender lip). More info:

What about this:
19x8.5 offset 13MM
19x10 offset 19MM

I don't think the guy gave me the correct offset #s

No, that will not work. 38mm is about the smallest offest that will work on a f-body.

Offsets are are all wrong - read the stick up top. And "Technically" they do not fit due to the wrong lug pattern.

These are 18" ADR Sterlings with the BMW bolt pattern...had them for almost a year now and zero problems. I do however have the wheels off at least once a month cleaning the brakes, and they get torqued as soon as they are back on and around 100 miles later. They are 8.5" wide with a 38mm offset...

The best backspacing is 7.5 inches, but you can go up to 8.0 inches in the back after the BFH mod.

Offset is the distance between the mounting plane and the center line of the wheel, and the best number depends on the wheel width. That's why I would rather work with backspacing than offset.
