Default This should work with no problems, I hope??

Bear with me here please.

Will this be OK with no tire rub, fit problems, etc???

17x11 rear and a 315/35/17 front will be a 17x9.5 and a 275/40/17

Would I have to adjust the speedo settings?

Looking to change out the stock wheels and get some DR'S out back after my combo change requires me to now.

Any input/suggestions much appreciated...

What are the offsets on the wheels? As long as the offset are in range, you're in good shape. No need to recalibrate your speedo with these tire sizes.

with the 17x11's you will need to cut your bump stops off and get an adj pan hard bar if you dont already have one ...and a BFH to pound the inner wheel well in a little

I might have to stick with the stock size wheel then. Don't really want to cut the bump stops or mess with the inner wheel wells out back. I was thinking about going with the TTII's as a replacement for the stock SS wheels.

Really was in hopes that the 17X11 would fit out back with no problems....

go with the 17x11s def. worth it! I had them way back and loved them, went another route recently, but had to go back to the 11's. Looks so mean from every angle.

I agree the 11's look much better....How much is involved with getting them to fit honestly? Sounds like both of you guys have been through this and obviously have more knowledge with the wheel/tire deal than I do.

Really need to do something in the spring as I wore out what I have on the SS after getting the car back from Speedinc last summer. Thanks for any help/advice...

You dont HAVE to cut the bump stops. When the suspension is loaded (car is on the ground) there isnt any problems. When you jack up the car and unload the suspension, the wheel will rest on the bumpstop. I cut mine off and havent had any problems.

You dont always have to use a BFH on the wheel well either, or get an adj panhard either. I didnt have to use a BFH and I eventually got an adj panhard rod...but not because I needed it, well i needed it, but not because of rubbing or anything.

Fact is, each car is different. So you might have to do all those crazy things, and then again you might not have to do anything to get them to fit.

The Firehawk has stock Hawk wheels, and the SS had 17x11 ZR1s and now has 18x10.5 ZO6s. I didnt have to do any mods, except cut the bumpstop which you dont HAVE to do, but I did it anyway

Thanks for all the input...I have found threads from both angles. I am truly in hopes that I won't have to do all that stuff. The car is not lower than stock either if that helps.

You may have to do a little bit of tweaking or you may not. It depends on which tires you get. Some will be a little wider than others and may require fender rolling or using a hammer to bang in the fenderwell. TT2's have a perfect offset so the wheel will fit no sweat. BFG and MT 315's are wider and may scrape. Nitto and Sumitomo are a bit thinner.

I didn't have to do anything to mine when I mounted 17x11 with 315 Nittos. Put them on and went on my way, never having them bump or scrape anything.

Here's a tip, if you are having trouble getting the rear wheels on, with them hitting the bumpstops while trying to push them on the studs, jack the car up from the pumpkin instead of from a jackpoint on the frame rail. This will load the suspension and give more room to clear the bumpstop.

U don't need a pan. bar, or need to cut the bump stops. Just pound in the fender wells a lil; it will only hurt for a min. lol. U won't be able to tell, just do it in the places it's needed. Well worth it to fit a x11 imo.

315 Nittos will fit no problem. Other than that is a hit and miss with the 315's, some like the GSD3's run a LOT wider than other brands and could possibly require some adjustments.

17x11 with a 50mm-52mm offset will work great with a 315/35-17.
