Smile Tire Rack - Bridgestone RE01-R

I don't know if you guys have seen this, but The Tire Rack has a killer deal on Bridgestone RE01-R. My guy Cooper over there sold me a set of 245/45-17 for a 2002 Camaro for $407.

Give him a shout at extension 743 and he might be able to help you guys out.

It's not about the 'correct' size (whatever that means -- 245/45-17 works just fine). I wanted this specific tire and the deal was too good to pass.

New tires on their waaaaay.

245/45/17? Do you have special Mustang wheels on your car or do you just like the ricey stretched tire look?

The sidewall of the tire will be roughly the same as a 275/40 would be, yes. But why would you want a 245 instead of a 275? Unless you have a 8" wide aftermarket wheel. Otherwise on the stock 10 spoke or ZR1 wheel it's going to look, for a nice way of putting it, weird.

$407 is a good price, but I'd personally rather spend the extra $200-$300 bucks and get a nice set of 275 tires. This is just my personal opinion though.

lol they "work just fine" Yea holdon, let me get you a set of some honda wheels to, they'll "work just fine" also. I have, well had 16x8 stockers and why the **** anyone would want to run 245s over 275s is beyond me. You would need to be brain dead, it looks smaller and pussier, always spins (could chirp 3rd when the car was completely stock), only good thing was that they were cheap. Which by the way when I would buy my 245s id get them at $80 a tire so you saying $400 for a set... thats nothing special kid?
