Thanks, I appreciate it!

I actually looked at the NT 555 Extreme Performance Tires pretty closely.

315/35/17 are around $200/tire and the 275/40/17 are about ~$145/tire.

The one site I looked at, including free replacement certificates, was ~$800 to your door for the set of four.

That's really not that bad...

That is the exact combo i went with.. Nitto 555 Extreme's.. they are a good tire, and last quite awhile. ( depending on your drive style). I have gotten 20K out of my last set..

I paid $504.00 shipped to TX for the Black ZR1's(wide lip)... The tires out the door were $850.00.. including road hazard warranty.. So roughly $1354.00 for the set.. minus $425.00 for my used Z06's...

$929.00 for wheels/tires (315's no less) is a pretty decent investment if my math is correct..

to the OP... Your LT1 car looks great!!

Great info Pewter, I appreciate you posting that up. I was curious if anyone else had opted for this setup and what it cost them after ordering new wheels, tires and selling their old ones.

I think I'm gonna look into this a bit more and see what the wheel guys say it'd cost for a set shipped to me.

And you're right...that's not a bad price over all.

Thanks!

Thats probably the exhaust im going to go with too, unless i find one with a carbon fiber canister. Im gonna black the whole bike out as much as possible and would like the exhaust to kinda match as well.

Thanks for all the comments guys, and i think my wheels look like such a deep lip because of the silver, it makes the lip blend into where the spokes meet the lip and kinda add a little depth to it. Cant wait to see the black and polished on that pewter color, its gonna look sick!!

If you want a cheap 315 tire, you can buy the summitomo 315/35/17. They are only $104 a piece from tire rack. Ive been told they dont tend to give the best traction but for me im not running the car hard on the street so i didnt really care and the car never sees rain. Im planning on buying some draglites or bogarts or someting along those lines and running drag radials or slicks when the time comes. But for me i just wanted a cheap tire to drive on for looks more than a good tire for traction, and will get better stuff later when i get a stronger rearend, and have the money to do so.
