Default Billet Specialties Streetlites w/Spacers. Pics Inside

A few people have been asking me how my 15x4" Streetlites fit and if I had to grind my calipers. When I mounted my Streetlites I opted to run a 1/4" spacer so I didn't have to grind my powdercoated calipers. Here are some pics of the clearance. They are a tight fit but they clear the calipers with no problems. I hope this info and these pics help and sorry about the rainy pics. My car sits outside when it's out of storage.

Here are a few pics of the 15x10" rear LS1 specific wheels too. I am very happy with the way this setup turned out.

Here are the pics you requested. The front wheel specs are 15x4" with a 1.625" backspacing and I'm running a 1/4" spacer from Billet specialties. I bought everything from Dragwheelz.com. I believe his name was Jason and he was a great guy to deal with. Absolutely top notch products and service. I also have more pics of the wheels on the car in another thread I posted in this section.

Question: Do your studs have to be that long? It seems kinda excessive to me and kinda looks like a pain in the butt. Is there a reason for the length?

I originally went with the longer ARP studs on the rear because I twisted a set of Moser 1/2" studs and I wanted some extra strength. I then decided to run them on the front also because I was running a spacer. To answer your question, yes, they are a bit excessive but I felt it was better to be safe then sorry.

Yes, I bought everything from Dragwheelz.com. I live about an hour from his shop and I actually picked everything up in person.

I have already got them wet and dirty. I washed the car and wheels at the car wash, wiped them off with a microfiber towel, and cleaned them up with a little Mother's Billet Polish. They looked good as new. When I detail the car I'll take them off and work on them a little more but they clean up better than I expected for just a simple wash.

DTB: That sure is a tight squeeze that you got going on there. Just wanted to ask you a question. I assume that you are still running the factory LS1 brakes up front, and you already said that the 15x4's you have now required no grinding only a spacer. I would like to put a set of 15's up front on my 3rd gen carmaro but I have the baer brakes up front that *supposedly* require 17 inch wheels. Well, I put a 16 inch wheel from a 91 camaro on the front, and I have about 1/2 inch of caliper to wheel clearance with the 16. On my 98 T/A I have the factory 16's on it and the wheel to caliper clearance is tight like what your picture shows. Do you think that your Billet Specialites 15x4's would fit on my camaro? Are they designed to have more clearance than other standard 15 inch wheels? Thanks for any info you might have. BTW, your setup looks killer!! Have fun with it!

I'm not sure if they will fit your third gen car. I could call Jason at Dragwheelz.com. I'm sure he can help you out with your setup. Billet Specialties also offers the Streetlites in 17s if you need the extra clearance.
