I would stay away from Sumitomo tires, period. I wish we had better options in the 315 r17 size

worst tires for performance period! i hate them! there down to 29psi and they still suck with stock horsepower. less than 3k on all 4.

i've got 275's in the back and they seem to be good. not at good as BFG, nitto, etc, but not bad. they are cheap though, always say you get what you pay for.

I have a set of 285/35/18's and I like them a lot. Had the stock badyears on it before and would break loose at the top of second.
Now rolling on it in 1st it wont spin at all.

Only thing I don't like about the hrtz II's is they run pretty thin width wise. The 285's look stretched slightly on my 18x9.5's

that tire is not designed to run under it's pressure min. traction will be worse. a belted radial will bow across the contact patch. basically lowering pressure reduces the rubber touching the ground.

Ya probably should have asked this BEFORE you bought a set of them..

The ZIII's aren't bad at all, but they are a completely different tire than the 2's.

I have the II's and can't complain. I will not pay $250 plus for a street tire, period. For a good looking budget tire, Sumitomo wins for me. I'm currently looking for 315's, and they don't seem bad for under $120.

looks like ill be putting back to 45psi thank you sir!

btw, i do recommend them for long distance driving. when i get streetlites one day with some sticky mickey's for around town cruisin then that would be the best of both worlds.

they are a very comfortable tire for long distance but then again, their as hard as Puff daddy in a music video

45psi? You are kidding right? 35psi is the max you should go. I don't know what the other guy was talking about either, 29psi (cold) is not very low at all, but you should probably go 30-35psi.

Sumitomo's are almost a dangerous tire. I had them on a bone stock white 01 TA (A4) at 32psi. They didn't hook worth a crap, which was ok, it was a daily and at the end of the day a 350HP car. What was unsafe is that they didn't hook for crap for braking. Our brakes aren't the best, but under a close call the tires didn't even try to grab the road, they just slid, very dangerous IMO. I wouldn't put them on a 88 Accord simply due to that.
