Default ZR1s vibrating

i know these wheels are cheap, but they vibrate like a ****. Seems like the front vibrates at ~50 (then it fades away) and the rears vibrate around ~80. I know you cant balance for 80 but ****, i have seen way better.

These wheels are not perfect either, i spun them on the balancer and i guess i should be expecting this but damn. They are the 17x9 and 17x11s. I almost wish i could send them back but i doubt it. Anybody else dealing with this?

Have you done a bare rim run out? also are you balancing them on a hunter road force machine which is a high speed balancer.

nah its a....coates or something like that, so i'd say its good for about 40mph. I did calibrate it right before doing the wheels though so i was hoping for the best. And you can visually see the runout. They hop a little on the balancer. I'm using all brand new GSD3s which i paid out the *** for too.

i might try spinning the tires on the rims cuz two of them did take more than a comfortable amount of weight.

how are you placing the rim on the machine? if you put the cones in front, you will have a bad balance. always rear cone it. also use the alloy 2 setting and measure the grams in the shift 6 setting. get both numbers to add up to less than .20 and you should feel no more vibration. i use this machine almost every day

i used a pin plate, no cones. The 17x11s actually wont work unless there is something behind them. The balancer gives an error.

I'll try to use the method you are talking about and see if that helps. I definitely didnt use it, and i'm unclear as to what the shift 6 setting is. Everything else makes sense

you know how it gives you a number like .25 , 1.75 etc.? well when you get the numbers to .00 and .00 on the keypad hold shift and press 6. more precise numbers such as .14 or .22 will pop up. move the weights around until both numbers add up to .20 or less. oh and stick with the pin plate, thats better than the method i use.

honestly i think thats what it is. If i zeroed everything, factor in rounding and i cant be more than .5oz off, i doubt .5oz would fix what i'm feeling.
