Default Christmas in July!!!

Well, it felt like Christmas in July today, when I got home from work. I pulled in the driveway, and saw 4 boxes stacked right next to my walk-in garage door that said OEWheels on them. I opened them up to find my nice new wheels, of course. I got 4 18x10.5 deep dish C5's that are machined face with black vents. They look perfect, and I couldn't be any happier with them, or the service from OEWheels. Thanks Lance and Scott especially for your help. Now, I just need to get my rear tires ordered. I think I'm going to end up just going with some 305/35/18 Nitto DR's. They'll probably be ordered the first of the week. Then I'll have more pictures of them on the car.

That's what I thought at first. But, after setting the tire next to the wheel, and comparing the width of each, it doesn't seem like it's really going to stretch that much. The only reason I got 275's was because they were a damn good price, and I don't really have a whole lot of extra money to spend. For the pair, it was $195 shipped to my door. They were kind of hard to pass up. It'll be roughly the same as putting a 245 on a 9.5" wheel, which my buddy has on the front of his Mustang, and it doesn't look too bad.

They are pretty hot, but at the price they go for, they're hard to pass up. I decided to be a little different than most with the black or polished/chrome look and decided on the machined face ones though. After seeing powerhousecamaro's car, I was for sure getting them.

The installed pics should be up sometime next week. I'll have the money from my old 17x11 ZR1's this weekend, or first of the week, then the Nitto DR's will be ordered and mounted asap. I do have to get new ball joints before the wheels and tires are put on though, because it was causing my fronts to wear very unevenly, and I don't want to ruin some new ones. But, I should have a pretty hefty check from working so much this week, that it shouldn't be a problem to get that taken care of next week.

Yea how much did they run you? Any chances of a GP?

I wonder how much it would cost for a wheel shop to shorten the fronts to 9.5".

Total came out to $655 shipped, after upgrading to express shipping for $19, and getting the black lug nut package for $39. Otherwise, without those added options, I was quoted at $597, shipped to my door.

Blah, they have a black lug nut package? I wasn't even aware of that. I was trying to figure what I was going to do about that just today.
