Default greg welds

well i got a set cheap as i had stated in a previous thread. I did get them to fit front and rear. The rears though are my problem. The guy i got them from said he thought they were a 6.5 bs unfortunately the are more like a 5 bs. The stick out like a sore thumb. Does anyone know where i can still buy rear 15x10's? I will go with the prostars but the GW just look so much better to me.

Thanks, Mike

They are discontinued. Unless you find a used set, you're out of luck. Prostar rears look better than GW rears anyways. Good luck.

i wish. Those are the the other type of greg welds. Not to mention that would be in the same boat as what i am already in. Those have a 5.5 backspacing i need a 7 or a 7.5 backspacing.

I think Greg Welds only came in a 6.5 backspace, which still looks pretty trailer park.

Just figured i would pass on the information. I just talked to a dealer and he said that the company "Greg Weld" did go out of business after he passed away but another company bought them out and are still producing the wheels. They will no longer have the greg weld logo on the center cap but will be the same wheel. Also they have been redesigned to accommodate for the f-bodies to fit the factory calipers. Also they do come in a 7.5 bs

Greg Weld was under a law suit for using the Weld name on his new product. American Racing was sueing him. If a new company does build that wheel they cannot use the Weld name in any way shape or form. It is a trade marked product line.

the owner/designer passed away and the business went bankrupt. Never heard anything about a lawsuit. Considering i have seen many other wheels for different companies have the word "Weld" in the name of the wheel

Wheelczar is the owner of Weld Racing, so I'm guessing he has some sort of a clue as to what he is talking about.

okay now that i have completed my order do not mid sharing the company from which i ordered them from. The company that has them is Jim's Racing Tires http://jimsracingtires.com 1-800-281-0409

I just ordered my 2-15x10 7.5 backspacing for $402.00 shipped with free open or closed lug nuts. He said that i just spoke with the company that is producing them and that they are doing the testing on these right now. He should have his shipment in either middle or the end of september.
