Well the lip was due to the Greg Welds being the wrong backspacing of 5.5. The Race star Industries has the correct backspacing of 7.5. The center caps on both wheels are plastic. I might just take my Greg Weld center caps and put them on the new ones. This is the only thing i do not like about the new ones.

Any idea if the old greg weld caps are for sale anywhere? I think I'd like to have the old center caps on the new wheels. Hmmm. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks for the thread... bastards forcing me to go buy a set of rear wheels, way to go. I blame all of you! LOL. Oh well, Pro Stars are going up for sale shortly. Thanks again for the great thread!

I think the weight is around 18lbs. Well the box weight says 19lbs on the one with just the wheel. The other box said 21lbs but this one had a package of shank lug nuts w/ washers
I know huh. Got to have tome faith Mike
Ya the other one came in today.
Im not sure if any are out there for sell or not. the old caps fit right in there and the center part is just a sticker. Havent tried yet but im sure you can just push the sticker out the back of both and put the Race Star Industries on the Greg Weld one. This is unless you are wanting them to match your fronts and just use the Greg Weld logo. Your combo looks nice (I'm guessing Greg weld front runners w/ Prostar rears) but you can ever really beat a matching set. No problem on making the thread. Jim from Jims Racing Tires has said he has received so many calls about these wheels due to my thread I started so your not the only one out there that decided to get in on this

Does anybody know if these wheels are made in china or made in usa?? To the people that have received the wheels, how does the quality compare to the old greg welds?? I had people telling me they started pitting very quickly (I live on LI, NY) and they said the quality was pretty sub-par.

Yes they truly fit on without any grinding. i posted a pic of it from the backside showing how much clearance there is on the LT brakes. The LS brakes will have a little less clearance but still clear.
