Post Another "Help me pic my rims" thread

Just sold my zr1' and now its time to pic new shoes...17/18 combo...

#1- Buy a set of 18x10.5 zo6 rims and powdercoat them black (already have a pair of 17x9.5's)

#2- Wait 2 months for oewheels to get a set of machine faced 18x10.5 c5 deep dish y2k's

#3- Black with polish lip y2k's

#4- Finally the ones that i think would match like no other with my car. Flat black y2k's. Will probably paint the rivets flat black if they look to tacky.

I like the machine face and flat black Y2K's. Surprisingly so, as I never liked the Y2K's. But that deep dish, machined face looks really nice, like an expensive wheel.

Only go with the Z06's if you want you car to look like EVERY OTHER Camaro.

I chose #3 even though I think your paint would really pop with a set of Chrome wheels

To tell you the truth, in a way im looking for a reason why i should buy the flat black rims. Not a big fan of the rivets but as stated above, if i paint them flat black i think they would look really good. Anybody try this before? Plus who know when oewheels will have the polish 18's in. They said maybe 6-8 weeks and thats a long wait for a maybe.

those new y2ks that oewheels sells now are really nice i think. either will look good on your color too. but i dont think the black version will look as nice as the machined look.

If the 18x9.5's were available, then I'd sell you my fronts. They'll get replaced when the 9.5's come out. I curb rashed the passenger side a little, and they scuffed the other one mounting the tire on it. I was pissed.

Sucks! Im going to hit up OE again and see if they have an exact date for the machine faced ones...if not im leaning toward the flat black ones with painted rivets. They seem to have a shinier lip than the regular black ones and they are in stock.

We have the 18x10.5 Machined Black wheel in stock - about 12 pcs left. The 18x9.5 is what we are waiting on.

Make sure you post pics. With the color of your car, they should look real good.

For sure...kinda wish i would go with the 18's...if they look to small i will eventually upgrade to the 18x9.5's when they come out.
