Default Rear Wheel Studs

Do you have to remove the rear axles to replace the wheel studs?

Only if you go with studs longer than stock.

you can notch your caliper bracket to be able to remove the studs with ease. Let me know if you need a picture of what i am talking about.

Like the guy above said, we drilled the backing plate and replaced mine that way. Previous to going with my 5/8th studs.

I am running 15" Weld Pro Stars. I want to replace the studs with ARP studs and open end lug nuts. Should I get 3.25" or 2.5" long studs?

just a grinding disk and a tiger disk to smooth it out. It took maybe 5 minutes.

how bad is it to run the stock studs w/ welds? right now i have 15x8 draglites and 5/16 spacer on the rear. will this be able to handle launches w/o breaking something? btw my car is a4 w/2.73 and stock stall. so i will only be footbreaking it, i havnt taken it to the track yet w/ this setup and it would be nice to know if im setting myself up for problems.

I run the same spacer on the front, and I didn't have enough lug to be comfortable. I would either grind your rear calipers or get some longer studs.
