Tires for Z06 Rims?
I'm ordering tires for my Z06 rims.. (rims are 17x9 front and 18x10 rear)
For the front I'm thinking - 265/40ZR17 Dunlop Direzza DZ101
For the Back - 295/35ZR18 Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3
I couldn't get a matching set off Tirerack.com without spending a massive amount of money.. For all 4 tires I'm looking at 700$ mounted and balanced. Is that a good price? I didn't really know about the size of tires but thats the sizes that are on the rims now sitting in my garage.
Also if anyone has pictures of a black F-body z28 with grey zo6 rims with anything close to those tire dimensions could you please post them up so I can see close to what it's going to look like. Thanks

Why are you running two different sets of tires??? Tirerack wont give you a good reading because at times an error would say that your tire wont fit your rim. I went with 275/40/17 on a 17x9 rim.

The reason for different tires is the price. The GS-D3's are an amazing deal for the 295/35/18. I believe I'm paying about 163$ each for that size tire/quality is amazing. I just looked and for the front GS-D3's at 275/40/17 is 240$ each. Which personally makes no sense it being a smaller size but more expensive. I would personally love a matching set of tires but I'm not going to pay 1000$ just to have matching tires when there both rated somewhat similar. If someone could find a better deal for a matching set of tires (anything under 700$ all around with shipping). Then I will go with them, But for now this seems like a great deal. I am a little worried about the tire size on the front though.. Is 265 a good chooice or should I move up to 275?

Im wondering about this myself. I have the same rims and really dont like difference in the tires with the different sized wheels. Wish I could find somebody with some ZR1s to swap with.
I got a price on the MT drag radials for the rear. $269.....too high I though

I'm selling some Z06 rims if anyone is interested.
Rear:
18x10.5 with 335s on them
Front:
17x9.5 with 245s on them
One of the front rims has a little damage. The rest are excellent condition. Rims and tires are about a year old and still have great tread. I drove them easy and did not burnout the tires. Orignally the tires and rims together cost about $1,500. Due to the curb-rash on one of the front rims, I'm selling them at half price, $750. My Trans Am was totaled recently, so I'm selling them cheap. (the accident did not damage the rims at all) Also, I will include two half inch spacers for the rear that I had on my T/A. The spacers allow the rims to clear the bump-stop. Just a little precaution. Email me at jreppehimer@aol.com.
here are some pictures on my facebook of the rims on my car:

yah they came with 265's on the front. So should I do it? Tires I listed above? Just mismatch? If not I may just sell the Z06's I would rather chrome anyways since my camaro is black.

i will be doing the same for my tires soon. id get the 275s up front. make sure you get a tire with relatively the same treadwear. 300 would be good, considering the GS D3 is 280. the BFG KDW or Falken FK452 have a 300 treadwear rating. you dont have to match tires on your car
