protect chrome on backside of wheels?
Has anyone found a good way to protect the chrome on the backside of the factory SS 10 spokes from corroding or flaking? I just bought a used set of these not to long ago and they are in good shape, but I don't want some nasty corrosion or flaking to start there and work it's way to the outside of the wheel. I don't drive the car in the winter, but they will see rain regularly and I just want to be overly cautious. I was thinking of painting the backside up to the transition to the shiny chrome on the front, or maybe POR-15(although I think POR-15 would add alot of weight and would be impossible to remove). Anyone tried these or some other technique?

There's this stuff on the market called Zoop Seal. "Kinda" like a clear coat for metal so all you have to do is wipe it off and you've pretty much cleaned it. You could try lookin into that (alto they arent a forum sponser you can try www.zoopseal.com)

thanks for the ideas guys. I think the zoopseal is a bit expensive and I don't know how it would do on the rough surface of the back of the wheel. I think I may try the clearcoat. I was thinking black or charcoal grey paint to make the chrome really stand out, but the clear would look more stock.
