Default Polished TT2s, or Painted TT2s?

I've been leaning toward the painted TT2s for a while. What do you think I should do? I'm getting this at the end of the year for my black WS6. So what do you think, painted, or polished?

Pics of each are in the link. The first 2 pics are my car with photoshopped painted TT2s. Thanks a lot for your help!

Also, any opinons on what color to paint the calipers would be great as well! Thanks!

I was going to say polished at first, but the charcoal looks good. I'd get them painted charcoal metallic It looks different anyways, polished TT2s are everywhere these days, so this way you'll stand out.

They both look SICK!!! It is such a hard decision I would probably go with the charcoal metalic TT2's, they would also be easier to take care of. (less to polish)

IMHO the charcoal are the way to go I have a set on order they should be here by Christmas for my Z. Too many peopel have the polished ones I wanted something different on my Z to set it apart from the rest.

I loved these wheels then I first saw them on the Tom Henry 380 SS's.

Here is the car it's going on

when you say the Tom Henry 380 SS's, do you mean the Tom Henry that is in Bakerstown, PA. just north of Pittsburgh, cause uhh... my grandparents live there in Bakerstown, and i went up and checked out those SS's while i was there this summer and they were badass. or is there more than one Tom Henry Chevrolet in the country... i thought it was the only one.

But yeah, id go with the painted, they look much better, and like theyve said, you dont see them all over the place

Yep Tom Henry in PA.

Tom is a good friend he has some sweet cars if I would have picked up car TH #9 that was here in Orlando for over a year at WCA but I was furloughed from United so that went out the door.

When I spoke to them you could not get the powder coated gunmetal like your picture, they only offered a magnesium finish - is this a new offering?

DaddySS- What you will need to do is get with a distributor of AE (Discount, Carl Black, ect..) and have them get with their sales guy directly to get them. I have a contact who is doing mine who uses these wheels on his cars so that was my way to get them from AE.

I think I'd go with the charcoal painted TTIIs.

Damn it...I have the polished TTIIs on my onyx SS, but I've always had a soft spot for the GMMG cars with the charcoal TTIIs, and now as I see those pics...oh, you're killing me! I'm starting to feel like yet another project has been added to my never-ending list!

OK, experts, since I already own polished TTIIs, what would be the best way to have the centers painted? Just have a paint shop paint them, or get them powder coated? Is the baking process used in powder coating safe for a wheel?

Your best bet is to sand down the centers mask off the middle and outer lip real good and paint them with the same paint used on the cars you will need to put 2 coats of clear on them.

I was going to do this but at the last minute I was able to get my hands on them.

I'd say get the polished, enjoy them as is and then if you wnat somthing different sand the centers down and have them painted the grey color you want.

I did mine myself. It was a fairly involved job but turned out well. I would prefer a powder coat though just for resilience.

The body shops don't want to paint them and there was no powder coater nearby so that's why I did it myself.

Sweet pics...sweet ride!

This is what I was hoping to see, TTIIs with the grey centers, SS center caps, on an onyx SS. Of course, mine isn't a rag-top, but it's close enough!
