Okay,
Here is a quick comparison I made of some of the more popular wheels. The graph simply shows how the wheels sit compared to one another. The Y axis is the rear of the hub mounting surface, the right lines are the face of the wheel and the left lines are the backside of the wheel.
Hope it helps someone

Looks like the EVO's with the +38mm are gonna be perfect.

Thank's Mike.

I think I figured out my questions by looking a ws6spd's chart...awesome work guys...looks like the wheels I was looking at will sit too far "in" and not look right at all...Found a 10.5" with a 60mm offset with a 7 5/8" back space...

alright im thinking of buying 3 chrome zr1's off of someone local, i asked waht the offset of them were, he read the back of them, one said "56mm", one said "50mm" and the other "54" with no "mm" at the end, do you think the 54 is not the offset and maybe something else? if thats not the offset , anyway of finding out what it is?whats a good offset for the zr1's on camaros, would the 56 go on the front or back, 50, front or back? do you think that if the "54" is a 54mm, that a 56 and a 54 together would be ok? then 2-50mm for the other pair? i also have a spacer with studs lugs etc, i used to live on a old set of zr1's i used to have, would those be good to use, if so ,..with which offset, hopefully that wasnt to confusing, please give me your thoughts, thanks

Ive searched and read all kinds on the offsets and sizes... but cant find, or probably overlooking, the answer I need.
Hope you guys dont mind another question. TIA.
I have a 35th Anniversary car... its got the stock anniversary wheels on it and Im going to have them widened. They are the same as any 02 SS wheel. My goal is to fit a set of 315s on the newly widened wheels.
How much do I need to add to the wheel to fit 315s on properly? Also.. what do I need to tell the shop doing the widening..... the offset will obviously change a bit so what do I need to tell them as far as what offset I want/need? I dont mind having to roll the fender if need be, would like to do as little of that as possible though. I dont mind doing the BFH mod to the inner wells as needed to make this happen.
Thanks in advance.

To widen and OEM SS wheel to 10.5" width with the correct offset, you "technically" need to widen it to both the inside and outside. The construction of the 35th Aniversary wheels are not very well suited to widen to the outside, since there in no outside wheel lip. So, all the widening must occurr on the inside and adapters would need to be run to get the wheel offset to the right position.
Thanks for the help... sounds like too much of a hassle to get right. I may just have to shell money for a whole new set of wheels. Its too bad cause a 315 on a 10-11" Anniversary wheel would look damn good.

Ok, I see all the numbers for oversized rims and tires. But...
What would be the correct back spacing to center the wheel in the well, if the size is
15 x 10 ? According to my calculations the ideal back spacing is between 6.5" and 7" is that correct?
This is critical because I want to run the largest possible width & diameter tire without
rubbing on the inside or outside.
I figure if an 11" wide Grand Sport Vette wheel (ZR-1) with a 50mm ( 7" ) backspacing works so should this? But also, a WS-6 wheel (17 x 9) has 50mm BS and 6.5 - 7.0 inces of back spacing. So, 7" of back spacing should be ideal?
I am just thinking that 6.5" might be better?
What do you think? Any comments?

I only ask because I am going to have custom wheels made and you cannot return custom wheels.
I just want to make sure they don't stick out past the wheel well and/or rub.
I figure, I can space out a 7" back spacing if it is too close to the inner
wheel well, but there is nothing I can do if I get 6.5" of back spacing and it is too close to the outer fender. You know what I mean?
Would Ideal actually be 6.75? I believe I can get whatever I need?
Thanks.
