Unfortuanately you are talking to me in a factor I do not size wheels by, I use offset, so I am not the best to determine if the BS is right or wrong.
On my Camaro I have 38 mm offse 10.5" wide wheels, so the BS is near 7.19".
A 11" wide ZR1 with a 50 mm offset actually has 7.93" of BS . . . . (FYI)
So now in looking at this further, 7" of BS isn't bad . . .

ok i have a 2001 Z28 I want ZR1's im bout to go to a Corvette Shop Down My street to see if they have them. I want a 17 with 9 in the front and 11 in the Rear i have a friend with the same set up. Now is there a offset that i should be lookin for so the 17x11 in the rear could fit

and same question but with 295s in front
18X9.5 5-120.65 56 BM
this info was taken from the DTD website and I would like that combo, btw who is the DTD sponsor here? I about to make a huge purchase and would like to speak to an ls1tech sponsor before I drop $2500 on rims/tires

Those are normal Z06 replica sizes and offsets . . a 9.5" wheel should run a 275/35R18 . . . I do not believe any one makes a 315 in a 18" diameter, widest I think is 305. a tire bigger than a 295 out back will require some BFH.

Trying to Understand Wheel Offsets I Have a 1994 Chevrolet Blazer Full Size 2 door 4x4.
I am about to put some replace the stock rims with some aftermarket rims and
i want the new rims/tires to stick out about even with the fender flares. which needs to be somewhere around 2 inches. I was told i needed to find out the offset of my vehicles stock rims so i would know which offset i need my new rims to be. i called chevy dealers in my area and i called the corperate office and asked them and they all told me that anything over 10 years old is not in there computer database anymore. So if i can't find out from chevy themselves what my lug pattern and rim offset is how am i suppose to find out anywhere else. which is why i am here. think any of you guys can help me.

I at least know i have 16 x 7 stock rims. i think the lug pattern is 6 on 5.5". from looking at the above article on rim offset i guess i need something like a zero offset. but what is that in inches for a 16 x 8 rim. I talked to the people i plan on buying the rims from and they said the only offset available is 3 5/8 inches. i have no idea what that looks like or how deep the lugs are. i plan on putting 285/75/R16 on the new rims. 33" X 11.5 X 16R. HEY FELLAS...I HAVE A 1997 Z28..I WANT TO RUN 19x10'S CHROME C6 ALL THE WAY AROUND ON MY CAR...WHAT WOULD THE OFFSET HAVE TO BE FOR BOTH FRONT AND REAR TO SIT PRETTY MUCH EVEN WITH THE FENDERS...WITH OUT RUBBING OF COURSE...THANKS IN ADVANCE...

I understand the concept and how to do it, but I'm in the middle of the ocean on deployment trying to order parts. If I set 16X8s up front and 16X10s out back what backspacing do I need? (1998 Z28) Also will 15s fit over the stock front brakes? Thanks Y'all!

for the wheels listed above a 30 to 40 mm offset will work.
