Your front choice is just right. As for the rear . . . well, I don't think it is possilbe to run 11" wide ZR-1 without do ANY mods . . .

Ideal choice for tires is a 315/35ZR17. The narrowest avaialble are Nittos, Sumitomo.

The number sin the chart are the tire widths in millimeters.

I thought it said in the first part of this thread that 17 x 11 ZR1 will fit without mods?

what kind of mods will I have to do? I have a T/A isnt the wheel well a little wider on my car?

What if I do 275's or 285's?

Question

what is the backspacing needed for draglite xp's? the fronts would be a 15x8, and either 15x10 with a 5.5 inch backspacing or a 15x12 with a 6.5 inch backspacingout back. i'm not sure if the 12 inch wide rims will fit on the back or not. would a 4.5 inch backspace work on the front with the 15x8?

On a TA outer wheel well lip mods with a 50 mm offset 11" wheel will not be needed, but with a big 315, such as Good Year or BFG, some minor inner wheel well mods are more than likely required.

295 is the biggest for the front, and would work out back just fine.

In back you can go a bit wider such as a 305 . . .

Well with widening the wheels you have a couple of choices:

1:

Assuming you are planning to add all 2" of added width to the "inside" of the wheel. If so the offset will change by 1" or 25.4 mm. So a 38 mm offset wheel + 1" = 63.4 mm new offset . . . So to run those wheels an adapter of around 7/8" would be needed to bring the offset back to around 41 mm is required to fit.

2:

The width could be added to the front and rear of the wheel, creating any offset you wanted, So example: if you wanted change your exsting whell to a 10.5" wide wheel with a 42 mm offset, you would add 7/8" to the front side and 1 1/8" to the rear side . . .

Yes confusing, but hopefully you see the math.

im gonna have the wheels america place do it, and im gonna assume standard procedure is to add the extra in the middle and not create two welds for the front and rear. if i add it in the middle, are adapters safe and where can i get one? also what bout tire size, 305/35s would prob fit better than 315/30s right

Tires I'd say 295 or 305 MAX. A 315 in a 18 is hard to find too.

As for adapters. There are decent ones on E-Bay, but www.skulte.com can help. I beleive Eibach has gotten into the adapter market too.

they wouldnt have to make two cuts if they cut it dead center and put, like you said, 7/8s on the front side and 1and 1/8 inches on the backside, right?

The hard part is the center of the wheel would nee to be removed to do that.

Ultimately ALL the added width will go to the rear of the wheel and you then would need adapters of the right thickness to get the wheels to fit just right in your wheel wells.

5/16" is too small. Need more like 15 mm min or can go up to 27 mm . . .

Default 15 x 10 with 7" backspacing

Will this work, or will I need a spacer? I know that most people use a 7" backspace with the 10" wide wheels, but I found a killer deal on some 15 x 10 Draglites with 7" back spacing. I picked them up last night, but the slicks on them are waaaay too big for me to test fit the wheels on the car.
