lol I am about to order custom IForged wheels and have been researching the offset. The sizes will be 18x9.5 and 18x11.

From what you have said about your own car and looking at your pics of your Fikse wheels on the front, 38 sounds like a good choice. Do you know of any pics of the +38mm offset on the front of a firebird?

And for the rears, I was thinking I could just copy the 17x11 TT2 offset (45mm) since I like the way they sit on a TA rear. Is my thinking correct here and do you recommend any other offsets to consider?
Your thinking and choice of offset are perfect. As for any pics . . . sorry no.

For some reason the rear "hub" button on the rear axle of earlier year F-Cars is bigger . . .

To get wheels of newer F-cars to fit either the hole of the wheel needs to be reamed out a bit, or the button ground down. If you do it carefully there are no ill affects to grinding.

I confess I have not read the entire thread, I have searched on vert and Convertible and did not get too many hits. I know stock there were years where GM wouldn't even put a 9 inch wheel on the SS vert. I'm thinking of going with 11inch TTII's back there with Nitto 315 Dr's which are narrower than most 315's I've run\seen. The car has the heater hose trick done so it is about 3/4 lowered in the rear with BMR's up front. Am I crazy? Do the verts have less room back there?

The rear wheel well of a vert is not dramatically different that a coupe. Many people have run 11" wheels are their F-Car Convertible. TT2's have a nice offset, and with the Nittos that should be a fine combo.

I have 10.5's on the rear of my rag top.

I have a set of Z06 wheels (18x10.5 rears w/ 315's, and 17x9.5 fronts) on my 99 Z28, Even after the BFH mod, they are still close, and rub from time to time. Should I put some spacers and longer studs on?

My friend has a stock 95 z28 and we were lookin to get a set of y2k c5 wheels 18x9.5 He likes the ones on ebay with the inside of the spokes painted black and the outside of them a machined surface. Question is there offset is 65mm. Can i run a spacer to make these fit or should i find someother wheel? Also what size tire would be the best im seeing alot of diff sizes like 275 or 285 or 40's or 35's? thanks

To run a 65 mm offset wheel you will have to run a big spacer or and adapter.

Tires, 275/35ZR187 are perfect.

Default bonspeed delta's

i was looking at bonspeed 17x10's all around and was wondering if they would fit and what offse would i need?

if for some reason the 17x10 does not fit the front of the car the next size down is 17x8..

if i did have to go to the 17x8 in front and 17x10 in the rear would it look funny cause of the width differnece?

thanks in advance

10" wide wheels can fit on all four corners, but the offset has to be right on . . and I do not know what know what that would be for the front. . .

Out back a offset around 40 will work well. If you are lowered may require rolling the quarter lip.

As for 8 front and 10 rear, it would not look silly . . .

i'm thinking of running the exact same front wheel size. 18x9.5 with 38mm offset. actually on all four corners.

my question, is the 285/35/18 the right size tire to run with this setup on all four courners?? mainly will it work on the front?? i'm going to run the nitto 555r2's in that size on the rear and want the tires to be the same size/diameter on all four.

The 285/35R18 can be run on all four corners, it is a little taller than stock, so the speedo will be off . . . .

I do have some very minor rubbing of the front 275/35R18 tire on the black wheel well liner at full lock, but nothing major.

I personally feel the 275/35R18 is the perfect tire for a 18" x 9.5" wheel.

thanks for the response

i may just go with the 275's then, i just need to find a drag radial in that size. not much holds the power i have with 4.11's.
