Beleive me I know what it is like to unload $4,000 on wheels . . .
Yea you do, and it most certainly looks like money well spent if I do say so myself.

So basically I think Im gonna go with the 18x10's with 275's in front then 18x11 in back with 295's. Hopefully everything will work out when its said and done.

Thanks,
Jason

I'm looking to mount a set of C6 motorsports 18 x 8.5 56mm offset on an 02 t/a, all around. Been thru the threads, eyes burn, nothing on this set up. Will the set up fill out the fenders properly? What spacer if not? I assume they will sit close or exact to the factory wheels set up. Also whats my tires size option.

No they will not filll the wheel wells, the wheels are 1/2" narrower with the same offset as stock SS wheels . . . so they will be tucked in about 1/4" more.

To give the illusion of filling the wheel well, you'd need about a 18 mm spacer.

Xsta Z 28. Been doing my math & drawing to get this offset/backspace vs rim size & width down. Correct me if I'm wrong. C6 motorsporst 19 x 9.5 +63mm offsett all around: I show these will fit a TA with little/no need for a spacer on 245/35 tires. If I added a spacer of about 1/4" it would push the wheels out slight past stock & there should be no mods needed either way?

Well stock wheels are 9" wide and have a 56 mm offset . . .

The 63 mm offset will move the wheel inwards by 7 mm, and there will be a 1/4" more wheel inside.

So to fit, a 1/4" spacer would be the minmum required, that would net you a 57 mm offset. . . . a 1/2" spacer would look better or a 3/4" even more , but you would need to replace your lug studs or get adapters.

A 245 will not fit a 9.5" wide wheel. A 275/30ZR19, is the preferred tire.

Could someone please tell me if these rims will fit?

I went to a local wheel and tire shop and asked about some Z06 wheels for my 02 camaro and he told me that he could get them in 17 x 9.5. I asked about the offset and he said they was 42mm. That just sounds weird to me being i have only seen them in 54 and 65 at Tomzwheels.

Thanks for any help

If they are truely 42 mm offset, they will fit just fine. They actually will look pretty darned good, filling the wheel well out.

How would 19x8.5" (38mm offset) and 19x9.5" (45mm offset) fit on my recently acquired (black) 2000 SS.

Thinking about these............(they come with a differenct center cap than the one pictured)

I realize the bolt pattern issue, but .....still considering.

Wondering how they'd fit relative to the outside of the body, and what tires I might be able to get away with (thinking wide/tall (27 to 28" tall if possible)).

Any input/help really appreciated, thanks.

Was thinking 5 spokish, but now thinking of something different like above.

Also, thinking of a color flip. As in center not black, but rim in black. Again, on my black SS.

Your above listed offsets are fine.

The wheel in my avatar is a Fikse Profil 13, which I have on my Red Convertible SS.

Who can help me decide on tires?
What I have in front is a 17X9 +45 and the rear is a 17X10.5 +44
What size tires should I be looking for? I do want the rear to be wider.

Still should be fine. The 35 mm offset rears get tight.

Hey yall,

Quick question...

Would a double-adjustable panhard bar be a smart purchase when changing over from stock 16 inchers with 245's to 18x11 CCW's with 295's? Just had heard some people mention that this is a very good thing to buy and can eliminate some problems with fitment issues. But, I dont know for sure so let me know any info yall may have.

Thanks,
Jason

If this is the wrong place to post this Im sorry and let me know where it would be better suited.

I want to order some wheels from Tomz (18"x8.5" C6 Motorsports), but the wheels are offset 56mm, and the thread says that the range for my car ('00 bird) is a little less than that. What do you guys think?

They have about the exact same offset as the OEM 16" wheels on "birds".
