Someone please help!!!!!
I have OEM 1999 silver C5 Vette wheels (non Z06) on my 1999 Trans Am. The rear 18x9.5 wheels tuck in too far in the wheel well and look like crap! The front 17x8.5 would also look more aggressive if they would come out a little more than they do. What is the factory offset for these wheels? I just bought new tires for them with the plans to upgrade to the new C6 chrome wheels soon so I will be staying with the 17x8.5 and 18x9.5 setup. What offset front and rear do I need to buy to make my car look great?
I run a 245\45\17 on the front and a 285\40\18 on the rear. You may have needed to know that to help me. Thanks

Do you know what the factory +offset my OEM 99 wheels are?
I found a set for sale on ebay and they say that the 17x8.5 has a 6.75" backspace and the 18x9.5" has a 7.5" backspace.
Can you convert that so I would know what those measurements were in +offset?

One question. 
On my 99 TA, I still have the 16" factory rims but am looking to go bigger. I think that I can figure out the width just fine, but looking at diameter, it seems that the rear bumper is just too close to go any bigger than say a 17". It looks like the rear bumper is closer to the wheel than the front edge of the quarter panel, almost like my lower control arms are an inch too long. Are there any known issues with clearance with the rear bumper, or is my car just odd? Either way, is there a way around it?

You can easily fit 18x9.5 on your car with up to a 275 tire. Just make sure you buy the right offset. Get as close to 50mm as you can find. I don't think that your car is weird. All 98-02 cars are like yours. If the measurement is the same on both sides your fine. When I wash my car I find it hard to wash between the rear wheel and the rear bumber side of the fender, but can wash the front side with no effort. You don't have a problem at all.

18x9.5 Y2K rims. What does the ET+65 mean on the inside of the rim? They fit on my buddies car(95 TA) and they fit on my car(00 TA) with a little massaging on the inner wheel well. Maybe a total of an inch needed to be "adjusted" with a BFH.

The factory wheel has a +65mm offset. While it will fit, it doesn't look right on our cars. You would need longer ARP studs and 1/2" spacers to make that wheel come out from under the fender to look right. That much offset on a wheel with a Fbody makes the car look weak.

i have a question for u guys. i have H&R springs and Konis SA on my TA. i want to get Z06 replicas; 18x9.5 in the front and 18x10.5 in the back...will they fit? what tire size to use? what offset will be the best? thanx for your help!!
