I do have an aphr, but how does one go about recentering the rear ... ie what do you have to measure

How I do it:

Back car onto a set of ramps, I prefer Rhino Ramps. Ideally a lift works the best. . .

Then take two lengths of string with a small weight on one end. The strings should be long enough so that when taped to the quarter panel, centered over the wheel, weight is just past the center cap.

The on each side of the car measure the distance from the string to the center cap, if the distances are different, adjust the panhard as required.

Tighten lock nuts and you are good to go!

They fit, but the rear you will have to to the BFH, or get spacers and longer studs. . . .

Will an American TT II , 17" x 11", with a 45.72mm offset fit the rear of my 2000 SS without any mods?

Hello everyone, I have a question. I have a 2000 Camaro Z28 at the stock height. I am going to be ordering black-machined face 35th anniversary SS rims that are 17 x9 with a 50mm offset. I am under the impression that the rims will easily fit, but there will be a "ugly" gap between the outer fender and the wheel well. If anyone can tell me what size spacer I need, or if I need a spacer and studs, what combination will give me a nice appearance...I would greatly appreciate it. I plan to run 275/40/17's in the rear and 265/40/17's upfront.

Thanks.

The fronts wiht a 57 mm offset will fit very much like the stock wheel, although for maximum wheel well fill in, a 1/4" to 5/16" spacer could be run, but not necessary.

The rears, if a spacer was the route you wanted to got a 1/2" to 3/4" spacer, with longer studs needs to be run.

Will fit pretty good. To fit a 17" x 11" wheel without mods will be very tough, our wheel wells really aren't designed to accept a huge tire. It may go without mods, but depending on the tire, inner wheel well may need to be massaged, and the fender lip rolled. Also depends on if you are lowered.

Well, I wouldn't say "HUGE" gap. They will fit just like on any other Camaro. AS for using a spacer to move the wheel outwards, a 3/8" thick spacer would do the trick, giving you a hypothetical offset of 40 mm.

Thanks for the info. Do you know the size of the largest tire that will fit on these 11" rims without a problem? Something smaller than 315-35-17?
Thanks again for the help.

Question Question about 19inch wheels and tires?

Can you safely put 285/35/19's on all 4 corners of a Camaro. I calculated that the over diameter of the entire tire would only increase by 1.21 inches over the 275/40/17's that are on there now but I'm not sure if that would fit. My goal is to get bigger wheels and tires to fill in the fender wells and to actually get the car off of the ground a half inch higher...headers hit sometimes.

I got a 2000 Camaro SS that is lowered with goldline springs. About a 2 inch or so drop. I want to put 18x9.5 Z06 wheels on all four corners with 275/35/18 tires. Will these work with absolutly NO modifications what so ever? Also what offset will look best? Looking for the wheel not to stick in to far or stick out past the fenders! Thanks in advance!

I believe someone is running 285/40ZR17 on a 11" wide wheel to minimize rubbing issues.

If all four tires are or are close to the same OD they will work fine. F-Car ABS does not like different tire diameters.

You would want an offset as close to 50 mm as possible. I believe the smallest offset I have seen is 53 mm. Other than that you should be in good shape.

How will a 00 TA be with 17x8s up front with +35mm offset w/245/45/17s and rear 17x9s with +38mm offset with 275/40/17s. Will this work alright? I dont want the wheels sticking out at all.

Should be fine, although a 8" wide wheel is a little narrow, but all in all a good combination.
