I have 18"x9.5" chrome c5 wheels on my 01SS. I curbed 1 wheel and need another. The inside of the rim has a stamp that says OFF 50. Does this mean I have a 50mm offset? If so, where can I find a chrome c5 wheel in the size listed with a 50mm offset. I've been looking but can't find any. Please help.

Will an 18x10.5 rear with a 305 size tire rub in the back? I'm getting 17x9.5 in the front with 275's. My car isn't lowered.

Possible. As far as I know no one makes the 50 mm offset Vette wheels anymore . . .

It could. Depends more on the wheel.

If you are planning on using a 10.5" wide Z06 replica with a 58 mm offset, it will rub on the inner wheel well.

If you are planning on using a 10.5" wide Z06 replica with a 53 mm offset, it may rub on the inner wheel well and may contact the wheel well lip.

Are the offset figures in the first post only for fourth gen Camaros?

I was just told by a wheel manufacturer that my third gen can use their 18x8.5 with a 35mm offset up front, and on the rear (a 2000 TA rear-end) either the same or a 9.5 width rim, also with 35mm offset.

Would that work?

EDIT -- Nevermind. I sat down and did the math (with some help from Visio for visualization) and determined the fronts will work with the 2" billet Skulte spacers. This is really just a daily driver, so I'm not as worried about running spacers as I would be on a track car. Unfortunately, the rears on 8.5" rims will sit as far-out as the stock rims do on that TA rear-end, but it won't kill me. The spacers will push the fronts out a little, so I'm hoping with the slightly wider tires all 'round, it'll end up looking more or less right (or at least proportional).

Since I"m not all bling blung like you guys and I'm on the stock 16's. Can I run a 255/55/16 on my 94Z28 with the stock rims? The car has been lowered 1.5"s, or do I have to stick with the stock 245/50/16 size.

You and go with a 255/50ZR16 which is called a "Plus Zero" upsizing.

To be honest I was looking to bag the tires just a little more, I'm not concerned with turning performance, just mainly trying to get a little bit of wrinkle/traction from a street radial. I'm gonna step up to a drag radial just not anything soon. I have a 255/55/16 picked out that I like but I'm worried about it rubbing? Its a 27x10 tire but stock is like 26x8 I think. Just wondering if they'd rub or not?

Will an 18x10.5 with a 58mm offset and Nitto 305's in the back rub? I need to know if these will rub!

The front will be a 17x9.5 with a 54mm offset. Are these wise choices? The front is going to have 275's. Are Nitto NT555R's good for daily driving? I know I'm getting those in the back, but should I get the NT555 in the front for better handling? The drag radials in the back for hooking

More than likely yes. I rubbed with a 295, so a 305 would just be more tire to rub. You will have to consider the BFH mod and possibly a spacer with longer studs.

What is the BFH mod? How much are longer studs? I also heard spacers aren't very good? Is a 58mm offset in the back and a 54mm offset in the front bad?

Check out our sponsors, not 100% sure, not very expensive.

Depends, there are the cheap universal spacers, that they sell in major auto parts stores, they are not the greatest, but high end custom made hub and wheel centric spacers, are just as good as OEM.

No problems. The fronts will fit great. 58 mm, is just a bit large for a F-Car, they can be made to fit, just like I did at one time.

I have a 2000 TA, not lowered yet, I plan on a 1" drop in the near future, am looking at 17x9 for front and 17x11 rear (TTII's).

1. What offset should I look for?
2.What tire size (I was thinking 275/45R17 front and 315/35R17 in rear).
3. Will BFH mod be necessary?
4. Since going with that large of tires, what would be the best tires for the $, daily driver, in Missouri we have to deal with heavy rain in spring and summer. (I have snow tires on rims for winter so winter traction is not necessary.)

Thanks.

1. TT-2 only come with one offset for teh F-Car. It is 46 mm.

2. Your tire sizes are perfect.

3. Depends. Most likely not.

Q about fitment for the 2004 GTO. According to the fitment guide, the biggest you can go "front and rear" is:

8.5" ... +45 to +48 ... 235, 245, 255

What is the limiting factor on this? Since "rear only" shows larger sizes fitting, I presume it's a front end limit. Is it the fender? Is it wheel turning issues?

What I'd really like is to fit 17x9" or 17x9.5" on all 4 corners and go with 275/40/17s. Am I out of luck, or is there a workaround I can use to make it fit w/o rubbing?

Thanks a bunch!

All right I think I just read every single post and either I read so many that I got confused or they are starting to contradict them selves.

First off I got a 99 bird and am putting 18X9 with 275/35/R18 in the front and 18X10 with 285/35/R18 in the back (Bonspeed Intense 5's). Now I thought I remeber Xsta recomending 295 on the back with 10 width but it wasn't listed in the chart in the begining so which would be best?

Second I am wanting for my wheels to appear flush without a chance of hitting the lip once i lower it. The chart says 38-56 and later Todd said 40 or higher so from that I would assume on the 18X9's in the front that a 46 would be the ideal offset to appear flush without much lip on my wheels and virtually no chance of rubbing or hitting the lip ( I say 46 cuz it is about middle of the range and in a later post it is the only offset offered for another wheel for the F-bodies). Then in the back I see Xsta has some 10.5's with a 38 offset which look bada**. But once more also in the back I want the flushest look with no chance of rubbing inner fender and no chance of hitting the fender lip. ALso I don't want a deep dish lip on my wheels. So would my BEST bet be 46 offset all around or would I be happier with 42 all the way around and still have no problems.
Thanks for your help in advance
Joey
