Default Zr1 17x11 not fitting, its not the fenders or the wheel wells.

I was super excited I got my wheels today. I was feeling lazy and went over to discounttire to have put on.
The only way to get them on was to jack the car partially in the air. Not sure what it was hitting, it looks like the bump stop brackets, Some metal piece directly up from the center of the wheel well. Not sure what its called or even how to better describe it.
As I was driving home I noticed a tinging sound when I went over bumps so I would have to assume its hitting that piece. Any ideas? Its a nice long weekend and I'm stuck not driving my car.
Please help.

to put your wheels on u have to jack it up from the rear end. the bump stops is stoping your wheels from going on. its an easy fix no worrrys

i know when i put my dr's on they were hiting the bump stop. i just heated it till glowing red, took a 4lb hammer to hit and bint them almost towards the spring. also bent my inner finder to help stop rubbing. but thats becuase i had 325's on.

Take it down to the edge of the fixture where the bumpstop threads into it. Not into the threads, just up to the side of the little fixture acting like a nut,

Oooh....I was thinking about trading for some other wheels but I'm not sure yet, 3 of my frds camaros have 2 blk & 1 zr1 17x11s in the rears & didn't have to cut or grind off any metal things

could be possible that an aftermarket panhard would help with the alignment of the rearend. I had no problems getting my zr1's on but im pretty certain that with me being lowered that adjustable panhard helped.

Yea I thought I had to raise my car bcuz it would rub my tires or roll my rear fender, mines 1.5 drop cut springs, with stock panhard, I still recommend a panhard still

When I put my chrome AFS ZR1 17x11s all I had to do is beat the inner well so the tires wouldn't rub.

I added some 1/4 inch wheel spacers and that did the trick.

I still think its kinda BS that you have to go through all this crap just to get them to fit.
Totally not worth ever getting a 11 rear on a Camaro again. Its been a major headache.
