How wide what?

Tire or Rim?

If for tire: What rim?
If not stock rim, what dimensions?

On stock 9 inch wide rims the fattest reccomended tire is the 275 that comes stock.

I have 285's, wouldn't go any wider. Really depends on the manufacturer though as widths vary greatly.

I've had 315's on my factory 17 x 9 rims for 8 years. All I had to do was hit the inner wells a few times with a hammer where I saw the little rub marks and its never rubbed again. It rubbed the first time I went around a turn kind of hard after I had them put on. Not bad, but I heard it rub, so I smacked it with a hammer, took about 2 minutes per side and its been fine for 8 years and about 4 sets of 315's.

+2. Anything bigger, and your just wasting tread. I would NEVER put a 315 on a 9" wheel!!

^ Wouldn't recommend a 315 on a 9 inch wheel, ESPECIALLY at the track!

Everybody knows the Nitto 315's run way narrow, yes it is not recommended by the manufacturer, but turth is they are closer to the stock 275 than you would think, Nitto is real "liberal" with their measurment of 315mm

But on the track? Don't think it's a good idea.

ive got 315s on 10 inch wheels right now and i really hate it. it looks good as **** but im worried ill break something in a 1-2 shift. thats why im down sizing to a 275. + its more fun to use two lanes then one
