Flush the Front Wheels! anyone do it?
Here are my current pictures

Has anyone done it? Please post pictures and info on your offset/backspacing for a 9" wide wheel.
thanks!
These are the wheels I will be getting but with a brushed aluminum face with polished lip. They will be going on a 3" narrowed per side rear end!

My paint isn't to fresh so I will end up going with a custom color too

.01: Those new wheels you're getting look sick. Can't wait to see them on your car.
.02: If you look at pics 1 and 2, imagine if the wheel is flush with the fender how you want it... You will see so much tread of the tire from the top to bottom that it will likely look a bit ridiculous, kind of like my Jeep when the tires stuck way out.
It might also affect performance, not sure if in a good or bad way but I'd assume bad.
btw I cant wait to get the new wheels.
Anyone know what size width tire would look perfect on an 11" wheel, I dont want it to look stretched to fit, and also dont want it to look like a doughnut.

FYI, It's in the Wheel sticky.

So I will be going with a 11" wheel and +45mm-56mm offset fits a camaro.
The centerline on a 11" wheel is at 5.5". +45mm is about 1.77", and 56mm is about 2.2". On a stock rear end and 11" wide wheel I would need a wheel with a backspacing ranging from 7.27" and 7.7", but since I will be narrowing the rear end 3" per side; I will need a wheel backspacing ranging from 4.27" and 4.7". Backspacing closer to 4.27" would put the wheel towards the outer fender lip and closer to 4.7" would suck the wheel towards the center of the vehicle.
Correct me if I am wrong.
I wonder what the ideal backspacing is for the best suspension and tire (295 or 305) clearance would be.

18" x 9.5" with a 38 mm offset. Rolling massive Michelin Pilot Sport 2's 275/35R18
9" wheels would allow to move the wheel outwards a 1/4" more than mine.
1/4" = 6 mm
38 mm - 6 mm = 32 mm. . . . I would not go any lower on the offset than that. IMHO.
Definitely no negative camber here.

FYI, when comparing photos of where different front wheel offsets set within the fenders, remember that your camber setting can make a big difference where the wheel/tire sits.
I totally understand that camber will change the look of the wheel in the fender well. I just wanted to see different setups, I can figure out what I like/works for me.
that picture Xsta z28 posted was a good example to show his own setup.

Was going to buy a set until I got a co-worker with those wheels on a pewter ss like mine
