ABS INOP light with new Rims and Tires?????

Default ABS INOP light with new Rims and Tires?????

I just put on some weld pro stars with 275 50 15s and my abs INOP light keeps coming on. It goes off and stays off when i drive under 45mph... But if i go higher it comes back on... ?????

Yep, it'll do that. Your front and rear tires are different size, so the vehicle senses it and throws the light. It's not a big deal, nothing to worry about.

whats your setup on wheels?
Mine did the same when I decided to go smaller wheels up front and bigs out back on my stock z28 wheels.
Nothing to worry about like Mr. IWGF said. From what I know its probably the front wheels thats making it go off because the 275/50/15 is the right size to go out back.

I don't remember what the exact tire size difference between front and back is to set the light off is, but if you're running a 26" tire up front and a 28" in back, it'll go off. Doesn't bother me, my car doesn't even have ABS anymore.

I have MT Sportsman Front, 26 x 7.5-15... No way to get the light to go off huh? I hate warning lights... Makes me feel like i need to fix something

Nope, no way to get it off, unless you want to pull your cluster out and chop wires or put tape over it.

my 96 does the same thing, i am running 185 65 15's up front and putting 275 50 15's out back.

It shouldn't do that if you have 26" tires in the front and back...weird.
