Mine do great in light rain. Then I had to drive through some really heavy rain recently and I could feel them trying to hydroplane. On the other hand, I passed a pick-up that had spun off the road so I guess they really did OK. I did a road coarse driving event in the rain and they did awesome.

Avoid big puddles like you would any other tire.

I've put over 10k miles on 315 NT05 and I do not like them in the rain. I don't expect a tire that wide to ever do well, but I did not notice any difference compared to 555R's. Dry they are OK, but I will not buy again.

NT05's do great in the rain. I drove them twice in the rain (storms came out of NOWHERE!) and didn't have any issues.

I need new tires for the TA. Are the 315s skinny like the 555r? I like how wide my BFGs are

The 555s are a good bit wider than the 555rs. There was a noticeable difference going from Sumitomos to Nitto 555s. I believe the NT05s are the close to the 555s in width.

Just put a set on 275/35/18 in front 285/35/18 out back. Car doesn't see rain but they stick like glue in the dry. The rear tires are 11" wide on a 18x9.5 " TSW Cadwell wheel with a 45mm stagger
