Default Why aren't 10 spokes/96-01 WS6 wheels reproduced?

I was thinking today and wondered why this is? The demand for both wheels is still there in stock, deep dish or bigger sizes as well as different finishes. Every vette wheel is reproduces from C4 on up so why not these? Is there a licensing issue with them? Anybody have any insight?

There was never a 10-spoke WS-6 wheel for 4th gen cars.

i think he was refering to why isnt SS's AND WS-6 wheels reproduced as much as the Corvette wheels. to the OP i know there's a couple places that reproduces the SS 10 spokes but youll pay out the *** for em though but ive not seen any of the WS-6 wheels reproduced or atleast i may have not payed em any attention as much as say the SS's

Yea Im sure he meant the SS 10 spokes as well as the ws6 wheels. There where actually 2 different styles of ws6 style wheels too.

Im not sure why they dont reproduce them, probably because they are enough originals out there to suffice for the demand. Maybe someone will start sence they are over a decade old now.

Also, vette wheels work on a varitey of cars, so that might have something to do with it too.

Yes I meant both the 10 spoke and the non speedline WS6 wheels. I know there are issues obtaining a license for the firehawk wheel, but I don't get why there are no efforts to make these 2 wheels? They ovbiously can make them but no one will

TTT-excellent post OP. I'd definitely be down for a brand new set of 96-01 WS6 wheels!

PS-If we contact OE Wheels do you think they may listen?

Why not? It doesn't make much sense to me. They can make the ZR1's, and the tons of C5 replicas so what's the big deal?

If they could, they would have by now. I think the demand is there but no one wants to step up. I always said 18" ten spokes and Firehawk rims with a 10.5/11' wide wheel would sell like crazy.

The DD C5 ZO6 wheel has been done, albeit years ago and in limited supply. OE wheels any reason why these aren't being done? A simple lineup of polished, machined face and black would sell

I love the 10 spokes from the SS. When the next tire change is due, I'm having them widened to 11". I looked at the aftermarket and went to the SS wheels on my Trans Am. There would certainly be a market. It would be even better if someone offered a few versions of the 35th 10 spokes. Obviously stock and a larger diameter, but 35th 10 spokes with a deep dish, mmmmm I'd go for those in a heartbeat!

In fact, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, someone make 35th 10 spokes in deep dish!

I would love to have a set of Comp Grey 18x9.5 Camaro 10 spokes! Since that is not an option, my next choice are 18x9.5 Comp Grey Spyders. IMO, they look like updated 10 spokes.

TTT- If OE wheels is reading, I would also love a 96-01 WS6 wheel redone.

They do make the WS-6 wheels the 96-97 painted silver 17" the 98-01 polished 17" or you can get the chrome ones as I did back in 2001 They even make the limited run saw blades from the early production 2000 WS-6 and last they make the 02 Speedlines in polished only. I chose the chrome because I didn't like the whitish color of stock polished.

They also have the 96-2000 SS wheels in chrome or painted silver and the 01-02 ten spokes chrome or painted silver.

Chrome

Polished "STOCK"

2000 Saw Blades

2002 Speedlines

96-2000 SS

01-02 SS ten spokes

Here is a comparison between stock and chrome;

Going on 10 years and chrome still looks new

^^ i was aware of one site that sold them but they wanted close to a grand for a set in chrome. I was referring more to a company like OE wheels, where a set can be sold for around 500 or so and they can make different widths/diameters and add deep dishes

But those are re-finished wheels, correct? They aren't brand new GM ones, or in other words, NOS?

They are OEM GM that in some instances have been chromed like the WS-6. Mine have the GM stamp. Unless the have them marked as replicas on the site they are all factory new. That is why they cost $800 to $1400 still.
