Default New rims but need to be refinished

I got these rims for free and the tires. Rims from a BMW, yes i test fitted them and even drove on them for about a week, and the tires from a c4 vette i believe. Anywho, first off what do you think (please keep it somewhat clean lol) and what color should i do. Ive grow to like the bright silver color, but im wondering if i should black and machine look it. got all winter to think about it. These might turn into either my summer rims or if i find better, winter rims. Or ill just sell em and find something else later lol. But for now i want to refinish the rims to show quality.
Current rims

Possible future rims. (ignore the front tires, they are temporary)

So what do ya think? the current set up is 245/45r17 while the BMW rims are 255s and 275/40r17s for now. Id have to measue but i think the fronts are 9.5 while the rears are 10s. you should have seen the tires some idiot put on these things before i got them. 215s on the front and 235s on the rears. they were SCREAMING to come off lol

I say finish them in black and keep the silver lip. That would look very clean.

BMW rims are very close. NOt exact but close. BMW 5 lugs are 5x120 whille ours are 5x120.65 or somthing like that. Kinda like putting on GTO rims.

I would do GunMetal centers with either polished or silver lip.

current rims-dislike unless powdercoated black then maybe
the bimmer rims- i like the look on the rears but not a fan of deep dish fronts. either way, do them in black with the polished lip for a clean look thatll match your hood too.

Both sets of wheels look great.
Id powder coat the first set of wheels gun metal.
Second set,
Black centers with polished lip.

thanks and yeah i say the sweet potential in these rims. They arnt too bad as is but there's some curb rash i wanna fix and i might as well paint them while im at it. They look like they were painted before. Has some runs on the inside of the hoops. Nothing horrible but some of the poor prep work is showing though from whoever did it before. ONce completed these will be come my summer rims while the current rims will be my "offseason" rims lol

Well i started the sanding and preping phase. HOLY CRAP these rims have alot of spokes to sand. THe lip on the first rim Im working on was actually not too bad. A little curb rash but nothing a bit of feathering and some primer/sanding cant fix. So far im in the middle of one rim being sanded. BY HAND... with the tires still on.. for now. The wider rears arnt that bad and have tires on that im gonna leave on so i dont really need to take the tires off. THe fronts on the other hand have a bit more work to be done plus im gonna change out the tires anyway. Pics will be post tomorrow on prep and priming. maybe lol if i get to that. Man i forgot how much sanding sucks lol.

holy bujeebus... Sanding sucks. Still working on one rim this project is gonna suck. At least its winter time so i got plenty of time to prep them. So far I picked out some paint to start with. Got Gloss black. Now just wondering about the lip. I do like the red lip on the car above, but paint matching would be a pain in the ***. Also got some Metallic Sillver just in case. But for now, ALOT of prep work to go.

The place that did my wheels was able to use the Sunset Orange paint code and get some paint mixed up that matches perfectly. You should be able to do the same with yours...

Thanks for the compliment on the mirrors - a lot of folks don't even notice 'em.
