Default Tire questions

Okay guys heres the deal i need some help..

i belive my stock tires on my car are 17x9 and 275

i need a new set of tires, they have to be able to be used on the street as a daily driver and then see some track use as well. i also have a stock rear so i cant go that serious.

im thinking the BFG g.force TA KD, also what size should i get 275, or 285,

are these good tires for the track and street? http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes

if anyone has any other suggestions let me know, i need to get new tires for the spring. they need to be able to handle track duty and street duty

KDW's are a nice all around tire .

Kuhmo Ecsta MX, are nice for the money.

Michelin Pilot Sports are great, but pricey.

Everybody seems to love Nittos . . .

Do a search there is so much talk about differnt tires. Even read the reviews on the tires at Tire Rack . . . .

I run the KDW's. 275's up front 285''s out back. They are a nice street tire, good looking, not too noisey, & nice feel ! As for the track, don't ex pect anymore than the stock F-1's, you aren't going to get a whole lot of traction. Once you start modding, especially if you put some gear in it, you will need some drag radials !

*One other thing, beaware mounting these tires is a real bitch! particulary the 275's. so go to someone that has expierence,& good eqipment.

I think kdw's have great traction but wear a little 2 fast, and if you dont use them they are prone to dry rotting quickly as bfg's normally do.
Pilot Sports are very nice but not as predictable out of a spin, and no matter what street tires will spin. As Xsta mentioned in other words bend over when the ring you up
I love my d3's . However they are completely worthless in snow,
or on cold salty ground
Asside from a nitto drag radial i wouldnt put them on my car if you gave them to me
no exp. with kumhos yet

The KD's are good for the street and track, when you get them hot they hook. These tires though are not made for the rain so you would have to be careful in the rain. I had them on my car and liked them but once they started wearing down they didn't hook for ****. I currently have the Goodyear Eagle GS-D3's and am very impressed with them so far. I haven't been to the track with them yet, but they seem to hook well on the street and handle excellent in the rain.
