Nitto NT555 Extreme ZR vs. Cooper Zeon 2XS
I'm buying a new set of tires tomorrow and need some opinions on these tires.
I'm going with 285/40R17's for the back and 255/45R17 for the front.
The Cooper's are $150 and the Nitto's are $125 for the back
For the front - Cooper = $123 and Nitto = $104
These are prices I'm getting from a local tire shop my neighbor works at - and do not include mounting/balancing.
I've read good reviews on both tires but I'm leaning towards the Coopers as they seem to do better in the rain. I'm just looking for opinions on which one to go with.

I have owned 2 sets of Cooper Cobras (I know, not the zeon's but fwiw), and hated them both. Both sets were noisy, didn't last long, and would not balance well. Always had a vibration, even after taking them back for rebalance and wheel inspection.
I just bought a set of 555's for my TA about a month ago. So far I like them. Quiet, good grip. Haven't taken them to the strip yet, but a good steet tire.
