Help with tire size on lowered WS6
i need help with a tire for the track/street, i have been running mickey thompsons 26X10.5X16 on stock wheels but am running out of gear and having to finish in 5th gear at the traps.
so i wanna run a little bigger tire but i know my choices are limited, problems are, 16X8 wheel and running eibach pro's
so i see some guys running 28" tires but everyone i have seen running them is stock height, i found some 28X11.5X16 that are 27.69" tall but not sure if that will fit with my springs
any advise/previous experience would be much appreciated
i am willing to run anything from 27"-28" if they will fit without issue

5th gear?!? what gears are you running? t-56 6 speed? I only hit 3rd gear almost going to 4th with 3.90 gears. when i was running my stock gearing (3.42) i only hit 3rd just before the traps.

Crap. Im sorry...i meant hit almost 4th through traps stock and solid 4th almost 5th with 3.90s. using street tires spinning off the line with a 2.22 60 ft. had i been using drag radials it might have effected the outcome. Also my ram clutch is on its last leg slipping a little. Switching to monster stg 3 soon. I know i should be hitting 1.7s 60 ft.

thanks diesel, with the measurements of those tires, the Mickey Thompson 28x11.5x16 should definitely fit, they are a hair narrower than yours and only 27.69" compared to your 28" so slightly smaller all around, should be nice on there

15" wheel, means it wasnt the stock wheels with proper backspacing, so maybe it was his wheels, cause a 295/50/15 is only a 26.8" tire and that should clear easily so it had to have been his wheels
