Speedline rims vs. WS6 rims

Never seen anyone EVER giving away a set of speedlines, in fact most warrant anywhere from $400-$450 set in good shape. The 98-01 wheels are some of the most generic 5 spokes I have ever seen.

Owned another WS6 prior to my current and it had the speedlines and I sold them ASAP and brought the WS6 wheels. My current WS6 will not be changing wheels anytime soon either

I have a set of each. The Sportline's go on in the winter, the Speedlines in the summer. Speedlines look more aggressive to me. That's not saying the sportlines look bad, they're actually still on my car along with my all season tires. -shrugs- personal taste. If I had to pick one, speedlines.

I prefer the Speedlines. My T/A came with the regular 17's, and found a set of Speedlines. I think the Speedlines flow better on the 98-02's since the concave design of the wheel flows better with the rounder front end. The other convex design flows better on the 93-97 that are pointy.

My speedlines are growing on me. I'd probably prefer a set of the other kind though I think they flow better because the spokes aren't as wide and they have sharper lines like the ones on the WS6.

Speedlines and sportlines look better after polishing. I have a set of sportlines that have the typical clearcoat issues and a set of sportlines with a dull finish. I think the sportlines look awesome when they are well maintained. But, the majority of sportlines that I see on TA's on the road have clearcoat issues. The speedlines look dull in comparison to very well maintained sportlines. But, I think the polishing mod for speedlines is the great equalizer. I will be polishing both sets this summer. Here are some links for the polishing proceedure:

I found a set of very nice Speedlines and they are starting to grow on me. I am going to look into getting two of them made into 10" rears. Most of the Sportlines I see for sale look like they need the clearcoat stripped.

I love my Speedlines.
I actually really like them both, if my car had come with either set I wouldn't have swapped them.
My car came with some ghetto looking chrome 17's when I got it, so the hunt for new wheels was on. I was looking for a set of the Sportlines at first, but was having a hard time finding a decently priced, good set. Meanwhile the Speedlines started to grow on me, even though I had hated them back in '01 when they replaced the Sportlines, and when I found a set in really good shape with good tires for a great price, I jumped at it.
No regrets, I really like the way they look on my Formula. I think these should have come on the Formula from the factory. For some reason though I seem to like them a bit less on the T/A's.
I think the Sportline is a great looking wheel too, and I'd have been completely happy if I had ended up with a set of them instead. Although one thing I like about the Speedlines is that you see them less often.
I can't back this up with any info, but IMO the Sportlines look like they'd be lighter though.
