Drag radials don't work as well on stick shift cars. MT ET Streets (bias ply version) or Hoosier QTP's is what you want. They should hook on the street at that power.

no BS, for me. my M&H DR (28x9x16) hook BETTER then on MT DR (28x10x16)and even my 28x10.5 S ETDRAGS on the street.

slip the clutch at 4K, got WOT once clutch is out. flat shift every gear.
And the MH NEVER spun once the car was moving. No burnout needed. The MT DR would spin on the WOT shift, and form a slow roll. get the MT warm with a burnout and you just get every little rock stuck to them, (unless you sweep the street) and traction gets worse. ETdrags sucked on unprep street. I could roll out, wot shift 2nd and the light up, and spin thu 3rd. They just leave really wide, square burnouts.

I heard good things about M&H. But to ansewer your ??. The QTP for me are stable and dont move much at the track. It will move if you have a road with bad road crown. At the track was fine. But I am only trapping 115 mph will be over 120 this year. I think you be ok unless your driving around on 10 psi or something.

ive seen more work best with mt et streets not radials. more give in the tire will bite better. track is smooth and way more rubber vht so dr work well. unless ur preping the reg road id suggest the et streets 28x12.5 should fit just fine.

as far as wear go, how fast do the M & H drag radials wear down? My MT's are almost whopped and I was looking for a cheaper drag radial. I was debating between the 305/40/18 nitto 555r's or the M & H in a 325 thats a 28". Right now I have 305/35/18 MT ET streets which is a 27" tire. They hook amazing but wear way to fast for my liking.

I hooked up really well on QTPs when I was running nitrous and making in the area of 600whp, only spun a tiny bit in 1st when I didn't heat them up. Mickeys spun through 2nd for me....

In the 16inch sizes I ran the M&H I got more miles from, But I changed to a spool last year with the MT and that should wear them alot more. I didn't drive around scuffing them up bad if you drove like you didn't have a spool for parking lots, so that helped for not killing them. I would make bigger turns, park were you could drive strait across out.
The 16x28 you have alot more sidewall, if you go to the 28 it will help for traction and street miles I think. And thouse sizes MH and MT have some decent tread depth. But the M&H in that size is better for street driving becuse when there wear out then still have some
\\ //
\\ //
tread marks to channel water with, I could drive the M&H around in the rain when they were bald and never had any troble. I took it easy, but the MT DR, even the newer DR II patter the bigger sizes have, dont do as well in the rain bald. The middle wears out alot faster (thouse 2 lines in it), and then only have the very outside tread.
\ /
\ /

Theirs been a few times on the same streets, just going up a hill in the the the MT will break traction 3-4 times just driving slow tring to get up the hill. Never had them happen with the MH.

I know some friends that run about that size on Z06 rims, and just that tire size has less tread. Like that BFG DR that everyone runs on the c5 Z06 rims, New it only has like 1 1/6th of tread, and you can wear them out in 2 months. But I don't know how the M&H or MT are in the bigger sizes, you can look up the tread depth I think on the jegs site or M&H site has good specs and even a vid of them tires.

same sizes I ran M&H are 7pounds a tire lighter then MT DR
MT are a little better at the track. best 60 was 1.55 1.59-1.62s (1.55 was worn clutch worked really well for 2 weeks racing)
M&H 1.59 best mostly 1.60-1.63 (new clutch)
