Default Finally got my widened Speedlines and 315's on w/ PICS

It took a while to get all of this done, waiting on tires, wheels, and a new set of rotors. Dont flame me for the drilled and slotted its more of a garage/street queen at the moment. I dont ever push the brakes to anything extreme. I think it looks pretty good.

I had to do the hose mod to lower the rear some. It looked akward at first. I'm running 1.25" spacers on the rear, jeep bump stops and little hammer work on the inner fenders. I have an adjustable PHB on its way but dont have any rubbing issues. It's just a little off center.

There is more pics here. The sad part is that I cant see much of a difference in the 315's versus the 275's when they are on the car. I know the tape measure doesn't lie but I was hoping they would look a lot bigger. I guess 345's and mini tubs will be my next venture...

Looks great- id like to do my speedlines like that. Pricey tho- Super sharp ride. I have been thinking about doing that red pinstripe above the ceta mod on my trans am. Yours is the 1st ive seen like i was planning- looks good!

Thanks guys!

I'd love to see some speedlines with a lip as well but I couldn't find anyone willing to do it.

I say go for the pinstripe above the ceta, I've done it on my 96 and 01 and they are the only 2 I've ever seen that way. I think it works on black cars since painting the ceta on ours doesn't really stand out much.

I have a 6le rear diffuser coming soon and a wings west front lip as well. Hopefully I will have some more updates soon.

The car has a great set up for wheels right now as they sit. I wouldn't go any wider.

I like the car and the wheels are COOL. but i never did understand the urge to stick none factory emblems all over a car, I think they just look gawdy that way

Then take those blackbird stripes off yours, change the wheels, and pic a different color besides white.

Get over yourself, this isn't about you.

Well I do at least appreciate the fact that you didn't turn this into some sort of internet pissing match and keyboard war.

I like the stickers, the stripes, the loud *** exhaust, big tires and wheels, etc. It's a Trans Am, I think they are already kinda extreme, gawdy, overkill, etc, but I like that sort of thing.

You dont like it, and most people on here dont but it's my car and I like it and I plan to do even more things to it that some people on here wont approve of.

But until they start making donation to have their opinions represented on my car, I'll keep doing it my way and I will allow them and you the liberty of doing your mods, your way, without my useless opinion of how I think it should be done.

I love it. Factory look FTW.

Some tires are wider than others...even if they are the same "size".

How wide are they now? Why only a 315? I wouldn't worry about mini tubs, just buy a bigger tire that runs wider, like a BFG or something...and lower it about a foot...having a lower stance will create an optical illusion making them look wider.

Yea the reason they aren't terribly wide is they are Nittos. Nitto NT555 and NT555r 315 35 17 are notorious for running narrow. Looks good!

Lol! A foot!! Yeah the bitch sits high. I did the hose mod on the rear. I'd like to drop it an inch more all around, I know it would help the looks, but the roads around here aren't good for lowered cars.
