Question Anyone tried 285/40 17 all around?

I'm fixing to replace my wheel / tire combo. My car is lowered with hypercoils. I have 1 1/4" fender gap out back and 1" fender gap up front. Can anyone tell me if it will be ok with 285/40 17 all around? I sure need the extra tallness since my car is scraping a lil in high bumps and steep exits. I really dont care to much on the handling quality, I can pretty much compensate by just getting used to the ride. and I do like lots of rubber in my tires.

I did it with my old TT2's. No rubbing at all after I dropped the car. Stock ride height it scrapped a little on hard turns.

I have 285/40ZR17's all the way around on stock SS wheels. No rubbing at all with a pro-kit drop. FWIW, the tires are Kuhmo Exsta MX.
