Default Where to buy GS-D3s

Hey everyone, its time for a tire change. My tires are beyond bald; they are the stockers with 25,000 miles on them. It is looking like I will have around $700-$800 to spend on new tires. What I have been really interested in is the Eagle F1 GS-D3s. Problem is, I can't seem to find them anywhere, at least not in the size I need. I don't really have the money to put on four a set of different rims, so right now I am stock with the 235/55-16s. Is my hunch correct? If they do make them in the stock z28 tire size, I can't seem to find them anywhere. If I am SOL, does anyone know another really good tire I can get for around the previously mentioned budget? Or where I can pick up a really cheap set of rims to put some GS-D3s on. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Isn't the stock tire size a 245/50/16? My local Goodyear store was able to round up four 275/40/17s. Have you checked the above tire size?

Weird. I just got them this weekend. I was in the same boat as you, stock tires with 16k miles. Anyways, I called up a local tire place (small chain) and they wanted a lot more than discounttiredirect.com, so I told em' I would think about it. I didn't even notice they were out of stock at discount tire. They asked me if I saw them cheaper, I told them where, they matched the price, got the tires for me in 3 days and put them on. This place is a VA/MD store and supposedly they really didn't want to match dicount tires price because its so unbelievably cheap, but finally they caved since they knew I would order from them anyway. Guess they didn't care/know that they were out of stock. I guess I got real lucky.
EDIT If you do get them, there's a $75 gas card you get free with the purchase. The rebate form is on goodyears website, or discounttiredirect if you buy from them. You have to buy 4 tires.

I have a set of Eagle F1 GS-D3, P245/50ZR 16
I put less than 1000 miles on them no curb bruses and tread is like new, in you want I can take a pic of the depth gauge to show how much tread is left, I paid over 700 bux us for the set. I just went up to 18's same type tire, PM me if interested,
450.00 you pay shipping, about 13 bux per tire
these have never been patched or plugged,
I just paid 320 a pop each for 275/35/18 yikes

Yes, call around to local tire shops. Almost all of them will meet whatever online price you can show them. It's a little more work, but it may payoff if you can get the tires sooner.

Good luck.

Mine should have come in today. Got them from a local Discount Tire but it was tough to get them. The guy had to call around to a lot of places to find someone that would cough them up, if they even had them in the first place. Ended up getting 2 from Texas, and 2 from Charlotte.
