Patience, a lot of soap and water, and ignore the 35 PSI bead seat warning is what worked for me.

It took 5 min for one and 30 min for the other to get them to bead.

Try bouncing them.. being careful not to put your fingers in the bead area

Also jack the pressure to ~44psi.. (at your on risk )

I am having the same problem. Tried to mount my 26x11.5x16 et streets on 5-spoke z28 wheels, and I couldn't get them to seat for the life of me. I tried extra soap and water, rotating the tire on the wheel, putting them on the car to use the weight to pop the bead.... I even went as far as 50 PSI (too scary for me... those tires bulge!!!!). So I would like to know the trick, too. I'll give them another shot at work tomorrow.

When I had mine mounted the installer said the key is to really jack up the psi. Sorry, I don't know the exact psi but it was really high.

70 PSI ... man, I punked out today at 60 PSI. That was to much for me. I'm giving up and taking them to America's Tire tommorrow and pay to have them done.

Like I said that was the last I saw and it was still climbing. Just did not feel like being in the room after that PSI. The installer many of the 16" ET Streets don;t seat well.

Ok, I finally got them mounted today. Here's what I did:
1. I lubed the bead with a silicone lube (not the regular tire lube)
2. Aired the tire to 50 PSI without the valve core
3. Put in the valve core and aired to 60 PSI
4. Let the tire sit on machine with 60 PSI for 2-3 minutes.
5. BEAD SEATED!!!!! .
FYI, I was mounting them on stock 5-spoke z28 wheels. What appeared to be the issue for me was the design of the wheel, not the tire. The outer bead on those wheels has a very sharp angle, and the tire kept hanging up on it. Hope this helped.

Now the only problem you might have is if they lube doesnt dry because you said its silicone is when the tire hooks really good out of the hole the tire might spin on the rim and then you have another problem..... seen it happen many times...... then you have to take them back off and clean all that crap off and remount them AGAIN.

Had mine mouted last week. Took the guy like 45 minutes. He kept bouncing em, then I'd hear him deflate em again. He was dedicated though and finally got em.

Yeah, I thought about the tire spinning on the wheel. I figured I would try it, and if I have problems, go another route. I'll get to the track on Thursday and find out for sure if it worked.

I have those tires and wheels. I draw a line across the tire and wheel. When the dont line up I know they slipped. I bring them to get rebalanced when they do.
