Should I with 315 or 335 for rear.
I currently have 17 x 9.5 TT2's all the way around. I have ordered some 17 x 11's and I am on the fence about what size tire to go with. My Z28 is stock height and stock suspension. I want them wide. No sense in making the change in the rears and get something thats not much different than a 275/40/17, especially considering you will no longer be able to rotate the tires. I understand the GSD3's are the widest and they no longer make them? I not concerned with doing BFH mod. Never had to roll fenders before. This would be a first on that, but I am confident it can be done. Either with a tool or old school ball bat. Don't care what that looks like considering its going to be behind the tire. Has anyone done 335's with 17 x11 tt2's on stock height and suspension. The TT2's are 44mm offset with 7.75 backspacing. Anyone have pics of TT2's on a 335 tire. Sway my decision. Help me find the right size. Edit for the subject title "Should I go with a 315 or 335 for rear." Guess I should have been paying attention while I was typing.

Stock height I don't think you will have to roll.if you ever do roll fenders it is so worth it to rent the tool.I think you should be fine on stock springs.hammer mod might have to be done.but I would for sure think about lowering it, makes these cars look so much better

My previous car was 1997 trans am WS6. I miss that car. Loved the *** end look. The T/A's look so much better with a thick *** tire behind it. Anyone have pics of a 335 on a 17 x 11 TT2? Prefer a camaro but, a T/A is fine too. Post it up.

When you take into consideration on how big these cars are, it's really not all that amazing, to be honest. Not to mention that you can't just throw that wide of a wheel and tire on and make it look right without some major modifications. There are a few people here that have put wide wheels and tires on their cars without any mods, but the tires are sticking outside of the fender almost 2 to 3 inches with the ***-end jacked way the hell up. Maybe some people like that look, but I personally think it looks like ***.

OP ... also keep in mind that the T/A's rear wheel wells are slightly larger than our Camaro's. You will also be removing the bump stops if you want to jack the rear by conventional methods with the jack and jack stands placed under the frame/SFC's, otherwise, you will have to jack from the "pumpkin" and place jack stands under the axle. This doesn't work for me since I run a Drag Bar that is mounted directly under the centerline of the axle tube ..... so no place to place jack stands.

Got the 17 x 11 rims today. Damn, they look huge. 44mm Offset and 7.75 backspacing. Just looking at them I am thinking "BFH". No tires yet. Still on the fence about what brand tire. Definitely a 315/35/17. Kumho or Nitto's!

So, are the 44mm offset recommended for a better fit? Or are the 38mm offset preferred? Not sure, but the 44mm will sit deeper inside, right, or is it the other way around? Gonna get mine black, then send them out to my local powdercoater to finish them off done entirely in black.
