Default What tires to get

Just would like to see what all you F-body owners are running when it comes to street tires. I would like to stay below the $200/tire mark if possible. So far I have looked into the BF Goodrich KDW and the Bridgestone Potenza RE750 both of which are about $180 a tire. As of now im running the Falken Ziex tires which have held up but would like to try something else this time. Anyways any info or suggestions would help.

Well, I just ordered some Sumitomo HTRZ 275/40/17s were ($118) and 315/35/17s ($153) I have ran Sumitomos for awhile now, no complaints. They are made by Dunlops, and when I got my car I put Dunlop Sp5000s on it and went to the track and cut a very respectable 1.9 60ft time. Unfortanetly I have not been to the track with the Sumitomos, but I will let you know when I do.

I vote for the Nitto's 555xtreme's for the street. If you need awesome grip go with Nitto Drag Radials for the rear, just don't let that lead foot drop or they will break lose in the rain. I only have 279rwhp and 307rwtq and they (315-35-17's) break lose.

I'm running Kumho Ecsta's now and they honestly aren't that bad. They're cheap too. But my next set will absolutely be Nitto's without a doubt.

Another vote for Kumhos. Can't beat them for the $$ to performance ratio.

Goodyear F1 GS-D3's. Awesome tire. Great dry traction, treadwear, and one of the best wet handling tires on the market. Tested that today. lol
