Just got Nittos

I have a 99 trans am and just replaced my stock 16 rims for some z06 17x9.5 all the way around. Also decided to get some 555 nittos . Used to have kumho supera's. And damn these nittos hook up like a bitch. They are way better than the kumhos. Now with rims and tires the car looks a hell of alot more stout. Didn't really like the way it looked with the 16's since you cant get wider than a 255 tire on them. And all thanks to uncle sam.

big improvment huh? do you have to heat them up to get them so stick or are they just really soft?

Aint really heated them up but just know from shifting. There is not as much wheel spin as with the kumhos. Also probably less spin because i have wider tires. got the 275's,

You talking about the 555 Extreme, not the DRs right? I'm looking for a good street tire(not drag radial) to go on 17x9 wheels. I was looking at the 555 Extreme, but I wasn't sure about spending $170 per. What did you pay and where? Thanks.

Yeah not the drags just the extremes. I paid 179 at discount tire. I got them from there because when i did the quote on the internet it came out to about $930 with certificates, 20 chorme lugnuts, 4 chrome locking lugnuts, 4 certificates, balancing and chrome valve stems. A dude here at the local discount tire told me with taxes and all he'd do it for 900 flat. So i called another discount tire and he said 890. I then called the other discount tire back and he told me he would beat 890 to 885. When i went to discount tire i then told them i wasnt disposing of the tires so it came out to 877 flat. I save some cash and i think they are pretty cool tires. Although i havent driven in the rain yet.
