Default New tires came. Toyo r888's in 305/30/19.

Hopefull these will give me some more traction in at least second gear.

~12" of solid tread. The guys are Goodyear said they are a WIIIDE 305 tire, closer to a 315 in reality.

They are going on my CCW t10s.

Hopefully I hook in second at least. Should be fun.

These cars have **** suspension. Shorten the torque arm up 7-10 inches and make sure the lower control arms are at least level to 10 degrees inclined toward the body. -2 degrees of pinion angle and you're set to plant! You need to get that long lever working for you, not against you. If you've lowered the car that just makes the rear want to lift up under power instead of down. All the angles work against you.

Sticky tires are just a band aid. Get the car grabbing on the shittiest tire you can find and it's gold on slicks. Not to mention $$$$ better wear on rubber.

My car cant hook first and burns second for about 2-3 seconds WOT, and it's stock with SLP headers and a lid. No excuse for it's miserable performance. It isn't making too much power. It's not making enough grip. Mustangs and Dodge Vipers can go WOT at will with more power.

They aren't mounted yet. I'm still deciding what I want to do with the rims first. I am going back and forth with polishing them to perfection and clear coating them, or having them powder coated some color. So to do that, I'd have to have the tires stripped off the rims, so it's pointless to mount the tires now, then remove them and remount them later.

I am leaning towards a hyper-black/silver color on the wheels, so I'm going to try and find some PlastiDip 'smoke' and see how that looks on them first. If I like it, then the wheels will be coated over the winter most likely.

You will not be disappointed! I just put mine on (identical size) two weeks ago. I'm not making quite the same power as you, but these things fight to hook first, and hook up in second.

I ran an 11.9x with them on an unprepped track. Not too shabby.

Good to hear. Are your rear wheels 11" wide? The guys at Goodyear said that they were a very wide 305. I'm still on the stock rear, so I'm not going to be doing any hard first gear digs, but it would be nice to use some boost in second gear. As it is now, I can't roll into the throttle enough in second to close the bypass because if I get into boost, the tires will just spin. These tires seem to be the choice of tire for the lambo and GTR guys, so that says something.

My rear wheels are actually 10s, so there is a bit of a bulge. Not ideal; I'm widening them over the winter.

The rears are 19x11 and I think the fronts are 19x9 or 19x8.

I run the same tire only in a 335 in back..they hook very well even under full boost. The 335's are 14" sidewall to side wall.

How do the R888's compare to something like the Proxes TQ's?

LS1-IROC- badass ride. Love the plate. I've been thinking about snagging a cheap 3rd gen and doing a similar setup.
