Default Middle of the road performance tires

Looking to upgrade the rubber on my car, as the stock tires are getting pretty worn at this point. The only thing is I'm not well versed in tire brands other than Pirelli, and those are way beyond my price range.

Basically I'm looking for a decent performance tire in the $175-200 per tire range. Any ideas?

I've had good luck with my BFGoodrich G-Force T/A KDWs, they're right in your price range, Tire Rack has them @ $745 for a set of 4. If it's not your D/D and you can spend a touch more, I'd go with the Toyo R888s. They wear a bit faster, and not very good in rain, but they're a phenomenal tire otherwise.

I've heard good things about the G-force tires, this is my daily driver so I've got to keep (some) practicality in mind when it comes to tire wear and such. Thanks for the ideas guys!

Random note but my old T/A had Goodyear Eagle F-1's on it, and I happened to look up replacements for those tires and they came out to be pretty pricey. Are the F-1's any good or not so much?

I really like the BFG Sport Comp2. These have a good balance of dry, wet performance, and they also have decent treadwear. Very well balanced.

From what I know Nitto's are in the same price range as Pirelli, any truth to this claim?

Thanks for the advice bro, I think I am leaning toward the BFG's at this point, they seem to be pretty well balanced

Not trying to advertise...

http://www.treaddepot.com/tire/90000003540.html

Got two of these and two of the all season style (RS3A same site) for a good price from these guys, fast shipping and they hook pretty well for the price.

Dude, fantastic heads up! I was about to pull the trigger on Nitto 555's from Discount Tire for $698 (w/ the warranty plan) and thought I should read on here one last time just in case, and came across this post. These ended up being cheaper and appear to be an equal if not better tire from all the reviews I've read. Thanks a bunch man!

Echo this statement X1000, I was ready to plop down $167 a tire for the BFG Comp 2's, not only found them for $140 a piece on this site, but also found the Zeon's for less than that plus an 80 dollar rebate......much, much appreciated brother!!

*************, that rebate went in to effect the day AFTER I bought mine. Son of a bitch, that pisses me off. I wonder if I call and complain if they'll give it to me, that's some horse ****.
