I am about to do my Speedlines tomorrow in black with glossifier. Would it be better to tape off the tires?

i say cover ur tires. Instead of tape u can use index cards and put them around ur wheels.

I would suggest to tape them off somehow or add a sh** load of tire dressing before hand so you can peel it off easily

I'm sorry, but that looks horrible with all that overspray on the tires.

Cool, going for the Smokey and the Bandit look aye?! Yea, that overspray has got to go! Tape and newspaper off the rubber.

i was trying to get the hurst edition look but with the gold metalizer its giving me a more gold pearl, which looks funky. im going to redo the wheels and do the vintage gold look.
something like this

YES, definitely mask off the tires! Either use tape or index cards, that way you won't end up with the over spray like the OP. It's not as easy to peel of the tires as you'd think.
