Needing some new tires for my 18"s
So my car came with dale Earnhardt jr killer wheels. After researching it looks like they are 18"x8.5" all the way around.
Currently has a 275/35/18 all the way around. I'd prefer to have a wider tire out back. And I know the 275 is pushing it on a 8.5" wide rim.
Thoughts are to go with 245/40/18 up front and a 275/40/18 out back. Will the that mess with my abs? Seems like about 3/4" difference, I tried searching but got mixes results. Wanting a DR out back with some cheap summer only tire up front. Car is barley driven.
Or if there is a different size you guys think would look/work better let me know!
Car is lowered on bmr springs and slp bilstein shocks with umi everything else!!
Thanks!

Does anyone have any 275/40/18 pics they can post? Seems like it will fill the fender well up a little more then the 35 series. I also don't like if I do a 245/40/18 up front then a 275/35/18 will be shorter...I don't think that would look very good.

I just recently replaced tires on my c5 wheels. I have 245/50/17 on front and 275/40/18 on the rears. The rears fill up the fender well very well. It's actually so good (at least to me) that I plan on only lowering the front to get rid of the fender gap there and just leaving the back stock. I can try to get pics later after school and post them up for you if you'd like.

yeah, you'll still probably be fine with a 235/40/18 front, and a 275/35/18 rear even though a 9" wide wheel is the recommended minimum width for a 275/35/18.
I'd recommend going with a 255/40/18(26") in the rear and 235/40/18(25.4") up front if all your wheels are 8.5" wide. FYI, you'll get better overall performance from your tires when mounted on wheels within the tire manufacture recommended size range.

Well for now I got some 235/40/18 for the frot and still have my old 275/35/18 out back for now. I'm going to get a set of nitro nt05 in a 275 before next summer I think. Just a few picks for reference.
