First time ever seeing FM5s! I was on my way back to work from lunch today and a silver 98-02 SS pulled out of my Chevy dealer (I work for a BMW/Mini dealer and we have a lot of stores(Chevy,Buick,Pontiac,Oldsmobile,Cadillac, GMC truck,Ford,Mercury, Chrysler,Dodge,Jeep,BMW,Mini,Mazda,Lexus,Toyota,Ho nda,VW,Scion,and soon Nissan. The SS was silver and had the 35th black panel on the rear, was lowered and had FULLY polished FM5. It almost looked like it could have been a Berger in silver. The internet doesn't do the FM5s justice....they are sweet in person!
Mine are clear coated centers the outer ring you have to polish. I think what you are referring to is the techno polish or what ever which is what I have.

Fikses are way too common here in Houston. Of course the have been out since 1994 or something, and haven't really changed.
The "Techni-polish" type are the most popular, and easiest to maintain.

I wanted the Fikses too, but I decided to go with the Torq Thrust II's, 11's out back which is also pretty common here in the DFW area. But mine are black with a polished lip, and I haven't seen too many of those around here.
