Default Plasti Dipped my stock TA wheels

I've been wanting to do this for a while so here it is. It took almost 2 cans from Lowe's to do the job. I think it turned out pretty good

I agree with you on the glossifier. If I do this again I'll make an order online and throw that in. I didn't even think to look, but does anyone know if Lowe's carries a glossifier for plasti dip?

The glossifier would look nice and should go on as long as the wheels are clean first, or you could use one of the metalizers that came out too. I'm thinking of doing the chrome C6 Z06 wheels on my NBM SS in black with blue metalizer.

Looks good! My buddy and I did his last year, but we only did the spokes:

We tried the glossifier as well and the black looked great. The polished lip didn't turn out so great, it looked milky. We ended up removing it all and just went with the black. Since you have only black on your wheels they should come out much better!

Thanks man! I thought about doing the spokes only, but decided it would be too much prep lol. What I did do was remove the plasti dip of the center caps like you did. I think that looks a lot better. Hopefully Lowe's has the glossifier today and I'll post up some pics of what it looks like

Ok, here it is with the glossifier and cleaned up center caps. One thing I noticed is that after a full day sitting outside on a breezy day the glossifier appears to have collected dust therefore not seeming to be as "glossy" as it looked last night after application. Maybe after a wash the stickiness with subside.
Yes, I know it needs to be lowered lol.

Looks better! Just an FYI, in case you ever redo them, you can remove the center caps on these and then reinstall them after paint for a more crisp edge.

I didn't take the caps out because I did this while the wheels were still on the car (I assumed thats the only way to get the caps out was by taking the wheels off?). I just fed plastic bags through the spokes and covered up all of the brake system. Yes, I bought everything at Lowes. Two cans of black plasti dip and then the plasti dip glossifier ran me about $20. I didn't plan on doing this lol I was already at Lowes and went ahead and bought it. Didn't turn out too bad

I almost forgot to mention, the black wheels and black car made my dirty wheel wells realllllly stand out. So I had about a half can left over so I put two coats of plasti dip on the wheel wells. Looks so much better now. I hope it holds up
