best of both worlds? Best street legal track tire...
After some searching I can't really find the answer to my question. My car put down 740hp to the wheels on a 200 shot and I plan to up that to a 300 shot. It is a stick car and will be about 80% on the track. I want to take it out every once in a while and drive it to work and stuff.
If I can get it done with one tire that would be great. I don't want to have to switch wheels and tires every time I go to the track or up the street to work.
Is there a tire that will get the job done or am I stuck with a full slick and use my M/T drag radials on the street and try to figure out some track only wheels?

To hook youre gonna need a tire that wont last long on the street and wont get good tread life. Not gonna find a tire that can do both. Gotta give somewhere or have two sets. Another option is an identical set of rear wheels with a street tire on it. Then you only have to swap two wheels. Ive done that forever with my oem 10 spokes. At one point I had 8 total.

Maybe they are all running autos too I don't know.
I'm not looking for longevity on the street just the ease of use. The car won't see a lot of street time.

If thats the case then buy whatever tire you want. Meaning I dont think a 7 mile trip will harm any drag radial/slick. I wouldnt drive when its wet however

Ya I have a car and truck I use to DD plus in the summer I'll ride my motorcycle. I have no need to drive the car on the street I just want to have the choice every once in a while.
