Hoosier DOT radials users Chime in!!
Well they came in today, and i immediately thought to myself theres NO WAY anyone is doing any kind of driving other then drag racing with these.
But, before i go all crazy and try to return them, are there guys driving these on the streets? Id like to be able to drive these to work and enjoy the car a couple days a week.
And PS, maybe this is common knowledge, but these tires are not DOT approved. They are approved for DOT tire drag racing classes. Im ok with that part, just thought id share.
i also made a few trips to the track with them, also driving with them on there and back from the track. that was a hr and 15 minute ride one way. i got right at one year out of them. if you have another set of street wheels to ride around on then they will last a lot longer, but like i said that was the only set of wheels/tires i had at the time.

I just saw they offered the quick time pro tire also, and just wondered if THAT was the tire people were driving on the street.
But, if you guys are getting even a season out of them, and arent wrecking cars at the sight of water, then im all in.

Obviously not so much in the winter months, but during the summer id like to enjoy the car.
Not Street approved...Is it because they aren't steel belted radials but fiberglass instead? That makes them light also! I've driven from Charleston sc to jax with no issues. If they got a nail in them I'm not sure if you patch it..?
Not too hard to look at the weather and plan accordingly, but like redgto4u, it's going to happen
Mostly for fear of ruining them from heat cycling and wearing them out very quickly.
They are by far the stickiest tire I've ever had on my car. More so than a MT bias ply or radial ET street. That sticky comes at the price of longevity and sidewall strength.
BTW the Quick Time Pro are bias ply. Do not run those on your car with a radial on the front. It causes sway and if you aren't careful you can spin the car at speed from over correcting.
